What kind of drinks do they make in Mixology?

I know that they can change, but can anyone who has done it recently tell me what kind of drinks you made?

That sounds like a nice combo!

Unless you are on the Dream it seems participants are not pouring. Drinks and types are vert YMMV.

However we did a mojito, a fruit juice mixer, a layered drink, cosmopolitan and layered shot. Dec 2022 on Dream.

In February 2023 on the Dream, we had French 75, Captain's Mai Tai, Appletini, Mojito (we were able to mix these) and B52.

First was a champagne with Creme de Cassis - tasted like Manischewitz. The next drink had those 4 things in it and I thought it was pretty bad (the fourth bottle was a juice of some type). Then a coconut mojito was third, and then fourth was some type of martini (I think). Last was the birthday cake (Chambord and Bailey's).

Meh. I already know how to mix a mojito. It’s the other ones I’d be interested in learning to make. Do they at least show you how they do it? Or are they all premade?

The bartender talked a bit about what went into them and history of cocktails but did not show how to make them.

I did mixology and the beer tasting and thought both were a waste of money. The mixology drinks were too sweet and the beers were just run of the mill beers. I was expecting some different craft beers I hadn’t tried before. Instead it was a Stella and Yeungling.

March on the Dream, we had French 75, a fruit juice cocktail I can't remember, an Appletini (or something similar), a mojito, and a B52 shot. Mojito was the only thing the guests mixed for themselves. Everything else was ready to go when we got there, or prepared backstage.

Everything was pre-mixed. One person got to mix a drink that he got to keep.

Our bartender showed everything even if we weren't allowed to make them.

Essentially it went like this:

• Other bartenders delivered drinks to guests
• Main bartender walked through how to make the drink we just received on his cart in the middle of the room
• A few people didn't like coconut, so they made a different mojito for them (including my husband), but I don't remember what it was
• People asked questions about the drink and then he quizzed us about something he'd said earlier
• The quiz winner got to keep the bonus drink he just made
• I won the extra birthday cake

We just did Mixology on the Dream in early May. We had 5 drinks total, 4 made by all the class attendees! There was a drink called Ooh La La, which was a martini. We did a tequila sunrise with extra stuff in it. A muddles fruit and vodka drink. a shot of sambuca and baileys I believe it was. So much fun watching everyone participate and make the drinks!

We have done mixology on the Fantasy (2022), Wish (2022) and Magic (2023) since covid. The only drink that we have gotten every time has been the layered B52 shot. There was also a muddled drink every time. The Fantasy and Wish were both just demonstrations of how to make the drinks - I found them interesting. On the Magic one person was invited up for each type of drink to mix one as part of the demonstration and they got to keep that drink.
