What keeps you coming back?

Always ready to go back. WE feel like we just stepped off the planet when we are at WDW. All the worries seem to melt away - at least until its time to pay the bills.

We don't rush as much, or worry if a ride is not available or the line is too long. Sure, we want to do that attraction, but it will be there the next time. Really, our only rush is at park opening. We do often have 1 or 2 key attractions to experience, then its cruise for the rest of the day.

It never gets old. There's always something new to experience among our favorites.

It now feels familiar, like coming home. I still get that sense of wonder when I enter the parks or check into a new resort, but that Disney feeling is really what I'm paying all that money for.

Our touring style is more direct, more educated. We're afternoon/evening park people, so we'll hit the park for lunch then have our FP+ scheduled for the afternoon and maybe even after dinner. We like being able to hop right on the rides while everyone else is watching the fireworks or exiting the park. We rode BTMRR and Splash Mountain almost a dozen times last Tuesday night! Also, we stick to AK & DHS pre-race day, and save EPCOT & MK for after we've completed our races, so as to save our legs.

What's important for us is just soaking in all of the magic around us. We're pretty easygoing, with no kids, and our annual trips are during the Princess Half Marathon weekend so we're more like "runcation" people.

Does it get old?
It never gets old, it is our home away from, there is so much to see and do and even though we have done it all, we love redoing the things that we love the most about our trips.

How does Disney feel to you, versus the first few visits?
Disney used to be a place where our family would go have fun and ride rides and visit our favorite characters....now, we still go there to ride the rides and of course give hugs to our favorite characters, but now, especially since we have gone so many times, WDW is so much more to us. It is a place for my family to reconnect with each other and a place where we love to stop and smell the roses. My kids have become quite the photographers that they love to take pictures of the little details on the buildings and in the line queues.

How is your touring style different? What IS your touring style now?
Our touring style now has changed dramatically...we now take our afternoon breaks and we love to do the other things that Disney has to offer that is not within a park (i.e. water parks, renting pontoon boats, resort hopping, etc). Another thing is we are huge into doing the resort amenities, the resorts have become just as important to us as the parks, we love spending time at our resort.
What’s important to you on your stays, since that you’ve pretty much experienced it all?
Like I mentioned before, our resorts is very important to us. We also have to do at least one thing that is different each time we go whether it is a new resort, new restaurant to try out, a tour, whatever it is. Another thing that is important to us is the fact that we spend time as a family there. We are all very busy in our everyday lives back home, when we go to Disney it allows us to get away from it all and reconnect as a family.

I keep telling myself it's the food, and the memories, and Disney fun. But honestly, with the several CM friends I have I get 50% off my hotel, free admission, and usually a discount on food if they eat with me. Also, I never really have to worry about renting a car. I mean, yes there are still cheaper vacations, but by now, it's the easiest I can do and still guarantee a worthwhile vacation.

Some of my favorite memories are at Disney. From the moment I land in Orlando and hop on the Magical Express, to the moment I get on my plane home, I'm happy. Disney holds so much sentimental value for me. It's a part of my past, my present, and I hope it will continue to be a part of my future. There's always something to do there, and I can really feel the Disney magic there. I just think of the man Walt Disney was, and all he accomplished, and standing in the parks makes me feel like I'm part of something much bigger. For me, it doesn't get old.

As of now, my touring style is park open to park close. However, I like to be able to be somewhat spontaneous during my day, and I'm a terrible navigator so I need time to get my bearings when I'm in the park. For me, the most important thing is the magic. Do I still get excited like a little five year old before every trip? Can I not sleep the night before we leave? Am I just as excited to wear Mickey Ears and joke with Goofy as I am to going to a concert? So long as the answer to all of those questions remain yes, then that's the most important thing to me.

Does it get old? No. We have been going at least every other year since the early 80s, my son was around 3 the first time I took him and is now in his 30s and married. It's been fun watching him grow up there, we started the every other year because I was a single mom and it took me two years to save up, we've always stayed on property and always in deluxe. We've gone with my mom andwith my son in a stroller and then progressed to my son walking and my mom in a wheel chair. We've taken my son's sister, not my child, long after my divorce for her first trip, she is now a Disney travel agent. We've taken his girlfriend at the time who had never even been out of our small Georgia town and watched her amazement. We've taken his now wife (not the same girl) who hadn't been since high school band and couldn't understand our love of the place and discovered it's a completely different experience as an adult and she is now addicted.

Going every other year there was always something new and different, I've begun going solo and went twice last year and will go at least twice this year, at least once solo. We went from going back to the resort for naps when he was young to staying all day from open to close when he was a teenager to going back to resort for naps and pool relaxing now that he is an adult. We begun building a non-resort day into our plans and going to visit different resorts we hadn't stayed in (mostly moderates since we've stayed in most of the deluxes) and wandering around their grounds.

We have noticed a few not so good changes through the years, it seems the level of service has gone down a tad and you don't seem to get as many perks as you used to but it it is still a magical place for us. I can't imagine not going and look forward to continuing to go until the time that I'm the one being pushed in a wheel chair by my son and have gone full circle.

Not me! I think those are GROSS!

I haven't been going as long or as often as many here, but have gone for short 4-5 day trips solo and with just DH. Am planning a solo trip in Sept while DH is off doing something else. I will only do 3 park days (plus the MNSSHP which I have never done) and several more relaxed days by the pool, downtown Disney, checking out other resorts for dining. I feel safe solo and can pick and choose what I want to do, knowing I can save things for another trip. Last time we took the whole family we did commando style as one DD could only come for 3 days and her boyfriend had never been there.

I grew up watching a black and white TV and watching Mickey Mouse Club with Annette, Etc., and every Sunday night Walt Disney came on, showing movies. Sometimes I would see pictures of kids at Disneyland. So...It was just something really special, for my parents to be able to afford to take us to Walt Disney World shortly after Walt Disney World had opened in 1970's. We stayed at Fort Wilderness in a Pop up Camper without any air conditioner. We spent a lot of time cooling off at river country, or inside the air conditioned bathrooms. LOL! We could not get over the fact that the campground bath houses had air condition. Ever since that time we have enjoyed many vacations at Walt Disney with, Husband and his parents, Siblings, cousins, nieces, and now presently with a son in-law and grandchildren. So I guess its become a family tradition! LOL!

Many times we have enjoyed the theme parks with their rides, shows and fireworks, water parks, character meals, free dining when offered, and different resorts we have stayed at. Over the yrs we have also been able to take a few days away from Disney to enjoy other Florida Attractions as well, such as going to Universal, Sea World, Marine land, Fountain of Youth, St Augustine, Cape Canaveral and the Florida white sandy beaches. No matter how many times you come, you can always plan something different to do in Florida. We have come a couple of times, two yrs in a row due to my husband and I coming in the fall and taking advantage of the free dining Disney offered, and then bringing family over the next summer. But we typically do not come every year because it is so expensive. Some yrs it has been 2-5 yrs before we come back if not more. But we've always enjoyed it!

I always share this when people ask me....
It feels like home.
It is where dreams seem to come true.
It is the smells, the music, the "feeling" you get when you step through the gates.
It is where we can't wipe away our smiles.

Lastly, if you are not Disney person, it is not something that you will ever be able to convey to them. You either are....or aren't!

We have been 7 times in 5 years. It does not get old. We had such a great time that first trip, we keep repeating it. The kids are older each time. There are new rides and characters and we go different times of the year. I will say the last trip was challenging with all the planning though. next time we are trying DLR to try something new. It is the one place that we all feel the magic and are happiest and we like to share it with others.
