What items have you noticed have gone missing in stores recently?

Orange soda in the mini bottles or cans. It is complete hit and miss. My kids love it, and I don't like them drinking a full 12 oz of soda. We do 2L, but they end up pouring it in a cup and spilling. I just like the mini versions better for them. There have been other things here and there.

My wife loves those mini-cans, but they were hard to find long before the pandemic here.

Sugar free Squirt (used to be diet squirt but they changed the name to sugar free) supply has been disrupted since 2020 and comes to the store in waves.
Pepperidge Farms Lexington cookies (supply has been disrupted since 2020 and comes to the store in waves)
Club Crackers - this one is new for me. Only recently have I had a hard time finding them.
low sugar grape gatorade (this one disappeared in 2020 and I just keep hoping it comes back)

Good news: I had a spell where I couldn't find juice boxes or Werthers Originals... they are both back! My blood sugars march on!

I went to the store this morning. They were still out of cream cheese, frozen chicken products (Patties, tenders and nuggets) and very low on pasta. I was working from a list, so I didn’t go down every aisle. I didn’t have to substitute or go without anything on the list today.

Tropicana grapefruit juice, the regular one, not the pink one and Bagel Bites.

Nothing has gone missing and to quote the Wizard of Oz pay no attention to the man behind the curtain either.

Pillsbury refrigerated products. Crescent rolls excluded as that's been in stock without issues for the most part. But cinnamon rolls, biscuits (all varieties) and more. It's been maybe about a month of that being hard to find. About 3 weeks ago it was all cleared out but crescent rolls and cornbread lol. We've been able to get biscuits every now and then but have struck out every time for cinnamon rolls.

Husband went to store this past Tuesday-no cinnamon rolls and hot dog buns no Great Value brand but other brands were available.

My new hypothesis is that certain items are produced in the factor/assembly line for a while then they switch to something else so as something makes it out to the stores it's in stock for a while then that item becomes hard to find and it just switches up. To me this explains why in the past we could find frozen potato stuff but no tater tots, and why for us at least here crescent rolls are generally fine but cinnamon rolls and biscuits not. Pre-pandemic the switching up of products probably was not slowed down and production rarely being affected on a mass level. We know Pillsbury isn't getting rid of cinnamon rolls lol so it's not like the company has opted to downsize just how many products they are selling like some other products can be explained by.

The cream cheese shortage was largely due to a ransomware attack at one of the major production plants in Wisconsin and not necessarily supply chain related.
Just back from my Sunday morning shopping trip. Not only did both stores have Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese, and not only was every slot filled, but it's on sale!

My local was sold out of 1 lb bags of dried beans. There were plenty of larger bags, though. They were sold out of corn bread mixes.

Just got back from the store. The only things I noticed was the pasta aisle was pretty wiped out, hardly any chicken and I haven’t been able to buy low sodium chicken broth in a few weeks.

Yea. I believe they resolved their IT issue quite a while ago.

I just wanted to mention something I ran into while trying to shop when there was alot missing, and also with rising grocery costs.
Around Christmas I bought a cheap brand of all purpose flour to make my son his favorite birthday cookies. He loves them and they always turn out good.
Well, I made them with the new flour and they were awful. First, the dough wouldn't stay together no matter what I did - it just crumbled. I baked them anyway and alot of them crumbled after baking, then the rest crumbled when I put icing on them. I couldn't figure out what I did wrong? Then I realized the only thing different was the cheaper off brand flour.
So, I bought Dakota Maid all purpose flour and remade them. They came out perfect. I am careful about not buying name brands that I am not familiar with now.
I think the quality of the food at disney, and the complaints of not tasting the same, might be due to cost cutting and buying the cheapest around. (there is nothing wrong with the cheapest but this one time I got burned)

Tysons and Purdue chicken have been out of stock for weeks. I also can't find 8 packs of Gatorade and Powerade. My homemaker is having trouble finding wet cat food and cat litter.

I ordered Valentines for my kid’s class. They sent me double what I’d ordered, which was already twice what I needed… if anybody needs Star Wars valentines, let me know.

We're still trying to give our 34 yr old son some of his never opened Star War figurines; my beautiful DIL still says no. :teeth:
