What items do you splurge on?

Life is too short to eat cheap chocolate!

Sounds like my second passion -- Godivas. If you can't splurge on chocolates, there's no fun left in the world. The richer the chocolate, the better the splurge. :thumbsup2

Jewelry. I just went to Vegas and splurged on some earrings from Tiffany's. I actually already had a pair that I received as a gift, but I lost one in NYC. I bought another pair and now I have a pair and a spare!

I also splurge at Coach once in a while....on the Vegas trip, I got a beautiful star keychain.

Check with your local jewelers (not a chain) on the spare. I work for a jewelry store and if a customer has a pair but lost one we usually do 1 of 2 things - replicate the earring and replace the 1 lost or take single and make a pendant out of it. Not sure if this can be done with yours but if so why not make a set out of them. Cost is pretty minimal.

Well, I almost never do this, but occassionally I get a new handbag...Coach or Dooney. I would LOVE to have a Burberry....just can't wrap my mind around the price.

Every once in a while I'll splurge on Starbucks.

Mostly, I'm not a splurging kinda person.

Wine, Disney paraphanalia, running shoes, weekends away.

Books, DVD's and CD's. And a few specialty magazine subscriptions that are outrageously expensive. No......not that kind! :teeth:
I couldn't care less about nice clothes and if anything comes in generic or store brand (except ketchup and mayo) I'll buy it.

I'm pretty thrifty, but will splurge to get quality makeup, brushes and art pastels. I guess I like pretty colors.

Hubby splurges on his home entertainment center, but since we don't go out that often this is our entertainment. Our sound system is better than our local theatre.

We also splurge on gourmet dog treats for our pups.

Candles, Bath & Body Works stuff, hair care products, gourmet coffee and handbags. I love handbags!

Tell me about it. Do you (or should I say does he) also have Martin Logan speakers and Classe components? We should get our DH's together sometime.

For me it's probably going to the hairdresser. I only go about once every 6 weeks on average...but it's much more expensive than I want to admit.

I have a housekeeper come once a week. I don't spend hardly any money on myself (my bare essentials makeup was a bday gift from the kids, don't carry purses, wear $3 flip flops most days, shop at Old Navy on sale) so that is my splurge for me.

My splurge would have to be pocketbooks. I am a sucker for a nice Dooney. I usually only purchase them through QVC. That reminds me, November 18th, QVC's special value of the day will be a Dooney---just in time for Christmas. :cool1:

Eating out is our big splurge. We eat out or pick something up probably at least 2 times per week, usually more when you throw in weekends.

I probably spend more than I should on scrapbook stuff, too. I do try to wait when there are sales, though!

and the sad thing about this thread is that the first thing that came to my mind was TP. :confused3 Charmin or cottonelle. None of the tissue paper stuff mom would make us use.

I need to get out more. :rotfl:

Organic food...no way could I give it up!!!

Hi :wave2: Scrapbook supplies, magazines and we try once a month for the whole family plus DD'S boyfriend to go to a sit down restaurant. For a special occasion, So last week DD17 graduated from high school and tonight we just got back from Kelseys.

I really don't splurge on much for myself, but every now and then I have to get my Victoria's Secret fix.

DH doesn't seem to mind at all. :smooth:

I wear no-name clothes & shoes, buy used cars and drive them into the ground, make coffee at home, pack my lunch for work, watch basic cable, so I can. . .

Go on a big vacation at least once a year (DCL, WDW, Hawaii this year!!!)
Use brand name on kitchen stuff (Wustoff, Kitchen Aid, Cuisinard, Calphalon)
Drink good wine & feed my photography habit. I love my brand new 10.2 mega pixel Nikon.

Hummmm....
I have four Brighton purses (love, love, love them).
Anything Disney. Trips, Napa Rose, Clothing, Park Tours, Paid Fantasmic Seating, CD's, the list goes on and on...
Swarovski Crystal - I have over 120 pieces and can't get enough. My crystal collection is my most prized possession.

DH always says I am "out of control". :confused3

My splurge is 24oz bottles of Diet Mt Dew. I know its cheaper to buy the 2 liter bottles, but I like my 24oz "tall boys" as I affectionately call them. I drink them, coffee, and lots of water every day.

Oh...and I'm a DVC junkie!!! I just ADORE Beach Club Villas!!!

My entire wardrobe is from Wal-mart, my car has 112,000 miles, and I hope to have it for 4-5 more years....but, I carry my Brighton around with a big smile on my face!!
