My Weim's name is Holly. Nothing unusual there. She came to us at Christmas time, and everyone in the family agreed to it, so Holly she is!

A rottweiller named Samantha. DH loved "16 Candles" and always wanted to name out kids Jake and Samantha. Well the dog came first and we couldnt think of a name so Samantha stuck. At least ds is Jake.

A Sonoran desert tortoise named squirt because it's only 2 months old but the kids say they will change the name to crush when he gets bigger!

our dogs are Ruby Montana, Gromit & our chihuahua is Choot-Choots(that's russian for "just a little bit")
Our cats are Gracie & Meena (she's meena than most other cats)
and the chickens are:

Manhatten, Lucy & Ricky, Gorgeous, and of course Morticia (because she's a Transylvanian Naked Neck)

Our dog's name is Shea. She is a mixed breed. We also have 3 cats - Nermal, a gray tiger named from Garfield, Snoopy, a black cat and Sunny, a yellow cat.

Once had one of the dumbest beagle's ever, named "Trudy the Pot Roast". Sweet pup, but dumber than a sack of dirt.

Current pets are; Sonja Blue, shelter polydactyl cat who was Isis when we got her, we changed it to Luna, but Sonja fit's her much better, with the almost dual personality thing she has (and she's a cat. It's not as though she comes when we call her name...) and Minerva, our 'Nervy little kitten some neighbor kids begged us to take because her mom was killed. 'Nervy's a little too well fed these days though and has a very round furry pudge going on! (Yes, she's fixed and indoor only, as Sonja is, so I know it's just too much food.)

If we ever get a dachshund, I really REALLY want to name it "Abe Froman".

Our kitty's name is Maya. That was the name she had when we adopted her and since we liked it, we didn't change it.

Calvin, Dukie and Hobbes- 3 cats. It is kinda funny because Calvin is pretty much a punk- always getting into trouble and doing bad things then looking right at us to see if we caught him. Hobbes' favorite activity is hiding around corners and pouncing on Calvin. They lived up to their names. Dukie just tries to stay out of the way.

My DS had a lizard named Whiplash. We have two cats, Noodle and Barney. Our dog is named Sassy.

Our dog's name is Pippin. He's a 5 pound toy poodle, so a Hobbit name suits him well.

My terrapins names are Frances (DS went U of Maryland(terps) and bball player was Steve Frances) and Rubberneck (found by a Rubbermaid Toughneck trash can).

Past cats names:
Mr. Red, White Sox, No Sox, Alien, Norman, Penny(Pennlyn), Kramden, Alice, Eddie, Trixie, Herman (Monster), Oliver (orphan).

When I was growing up I had a cat named Monkey and a monkey named Jolly. I had dogs named Rascal and Poo.

Our Jack Rat is named Scooby which he seems to identify with because he won't sing to any other song except for the Scooby Doo theme. Except this Christmas he did get into the spirit by singing to Deck the Halls but I think it was just that he thought the fa la la la la part rocked.
We also had a female Australian Shepherd that our daughter named Gus Gus because she was really into Cinderella at the time.
One of our first cat's was named Bette Davis because it was a Persian with the huge eyes. The vet mis identified it as a she so then it became apparent that she was a he and he became Bette Bert.

Our current cats are Snickers and Moxie and were named by their previous owners who developed allergies so we "adopted" them at age 7. Snickers name is obvious but we aren't sure why Moxie was so named. She is the gentlest, most forgiving cat we have ever known! Both are 11 years old now and definitely a part of our family.

We have a Brittaney Spaniel named Winnie !!!

He gets made fun of when he takes her bird hunting. A big tall hunter yelling out "Winnie".

We adopted two cats of a feral family that had been rescued by our vet. We love them, but they both have issues and their names reflect their personalities!

Our male cat is named Ichabod, after Ichabod Crane. Yeah, he's cowardly and tends to see odd shadows chasing him. We call him Icky for short.

Our female cat is named Caliban, after the character in Shakespeare's The Tempest. Caliban is described as having an odd appearance and odor. Well, our poor cat came home with us, fur sticking out every which way and with an undiagnosed case of worms. So, yeah, she stunk. She's much more attractive now, and we call her Calie for short.
