What is your opinion on the United Kingdom?

Necklace from my great-grandmother, over 100 years old. Ring from my grandmother, over 100 years old. The necklace my daddy gave my mama on their first anniversary, he forgot and stopped at the drug store and bought it. An afghan I made for my mama while I was pregnant with my son (he is 40). A carving my Daddy did of me when I was pregnant. Tons of pictures.

I would say my student of the course award from 2010.

The possession with the most sentiment is my 25th anniversary ring. Although my husband didn't pick it out, it has such value (not monetary) to me because of its representation. My husband was a sweetheart letting me pick it out.

A silly plastic toy, a ghoulish guy driving a drag racer, my dad bought it for me not long before he passed away. He died when I was 9.
A book case my dad made.
A mantle clock that was a wedding gift to my parents.
A Grandfather block my father-in-law assembled from a kit.
A marble top table that was left behind by the previous home owner in the first house my parents bought. It has a manufacturing date of 1923.

Everything is sentimental to me...lol

I do love my pictures. I hate that the one the last few years are on the computer and can’t hold in my hand. I have a ton of photo albums and scrapbooks. They are separated by child so one day it will go to each one. With enough of the whole family in them so not one well be left out.

Also have 2 tubs for each child with baby stuff, crafts and school year books and awards.

For me my mom’s cross that she wore everyday.

We won’t mention the clothes I cant part with but can’t fit any more...lol

Everything they owned. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do with all of it. There are a few things I will hold on to but I have to figure out what to do with everything else.

Over half of the stuff in our home is sentimental to one or both of us. We both much prefer family heirlooms, family photos for several generations on both my DH & my side, paintings that were painted specifically for us, bedding that was made for us as a gift & stuff like that to decorate our home with. We'd have more, if my sisters hadn't taken most of my parents belongings, before I got a change to look through them.

Longest by distance or time away?

Mine was to Hawaii for 4 weeks. Longest distance and time away.

This school year I will have missed 7.5 months of school. Some of that was/will be over this summer though. I had double knee replacement in July 2020 during my time off. But it was a 12 week recovery, so I missed the first 6 weeks of the school year. Then I got Covid and was out for 2 weeks in January 2021. Then I went out for emergency surgery on February 25th and won’t be cleared to return to work until August 15th.

My right knee implant and tibia bone developed a staph infection. The whole implant and affected bone had to be removed. Then I spent 8 weeks with a picc line fighting the infection. During that time I had a life threatening reaction to the antibiotics and ended up back in the hospital. I found out 2 weeks ago that I am finally infection free! At last I got to schedule my final knee implant surgery for June 28th, and then I have 7 weeks of recovery before school starts up again. It has been a long drawn out process for sure.

A lot...

Photos, Shutterfly photobooks, and videos
My grandfather's flag from when he passed, in a display case, his heavy brass eagle "1776" bookends, and some of his reference books (printed in 1938)
My grandmother's wedding ring
The teddy bear that Grandpa gave me the day after I was born
My childhood rocking chair
Various things from my son...his hospital hat and ID bracelet from when he was born, the card and envelope from the very first time he wrote "Mommy," the photo ornaments with popsicle stick frames that he made in preschool, the pipe-cleaner-and-pony-bead bracelets that he made for me, the 3 necklaces from Square 1 Art that have his artwork on them, special onesies and t-shirts from over the years...I'm sure there are many more things, too.

I've driven to Vegas to meet someone, but I've never vacationed anywhere alone. I'm not opposed to it, I just usually go with a friend or my kids, and before kids with was with friends or SO.

DH was out 6 weeks for open heart surgery (myectomy), would have been longer if he had any physical component to his job.

I spent just over 3 years traveling around the United States in an RV solo. I'd still be out there doing it but Covid shut all the campgrounds down so I had no choice but to give it up. I'm making plans to start again very soon though.

I was self-employed for a couple of decades, working as a freelance illustrator and designer, mostly for two companies in Philadelphia. I made my own hours and worked with deadlines so I was able to take time off whenever I wanted.
