What is your opinion on the United Kingdom?

Way too many things. I see something sentimental in almost everything I own so we have a clutter problem in my house.

Flew to Canada three times, and flew to Cleveland for work (week-long training course).

I anticipate my first trip to California by flight, to see Disneyland of course. I would go back to see more beyond Anaheim- like Griffith Observatory and much more. I will try not to join too many gangs, but I have so much street cred that the Crips and Bloods both have expressed interest. Swell fellas, those Crips and Bloods.

That's me too - I tend to ascribe sentiment to just about anything. I'm not quite a legitimate hoarder, but I get it!

The most precious things to me are childhood stuffed animals (the only toys with souls I always say). I have them in an old duffel bag with my baby blanket and a few other things. It's on the grab-in-case-of-fire list. Also, my NES, who I often call "precious" and my SNES because getting it was my "A Christmas Story" moment. Those are the very special things, but man, I do attach meaning to so much stuff!

I've gone solo on a two week Alaskan cruise, a week in Thailand, a week in Laos, a week in Vietnam, Hong KOng, Kenya, and a few road trips in CA. Love solo travel!

Congratulations on making it through such a tough time and I wish you well. One of my staff members has been out since last October with surgery and chemo for colon cancer. It has been successful and she’s cleared to return on September 1. I can’t wait to see her.

Six years ago I had artificial lens transplants in both eyes; one at a time, two weeks apart. I was out for four days with each purely for the medical reasons but I wish I could have taken much longer. Adjusting to my new vision while trying to keep up the pace at work was very taxing.

I also had a lens replacement 2-3 weeks apart. We went to Disney in the time between surgery 1 and 2 though I didn’t ride any jerky rides and no pools. It was very weird not wearing glasses and really only having one eye to see out of!

I think the most I've missed consecutively is about 3 when I had the flu. However, I did have an issue that took forever to get diagnosed, and I missed a decent amount of work over a 6 month period... just not generally a lot of consecutive days.

For myself, I think it was two days when I was hospitalized for anemia/blood loss and spent a night getting multiple blood transfusions. It was the Thursday and Friday before Memorial Day weekend, so I had a three day weekend after to recuperate. Though really, after the transfusions I immediately felt 1000 times better.

I also took about 2.5 days off when my dad had his heart attack. My mom, sister, and I were constantly at the hospital with him until he got out of the ICU. I left work in a panic early Tuesday afternoon and came back in on Friday.

One week for a rotator cuff surgery. I should have taken more, that really hurt and I pushed myself way too soon.

ETA Just remembered I stopped attending school during my 3rd trimester of pregnancy per doctor’s order the second time around.

I’m a very sentimental person, so I have a lot.
My grandmother’s diamond ring tops the list. It was given to her by an aunt, then she passed it down to my mom. Now I have it, then it goes to my daughter, then her daughter, then her daughter if she has one.

Photos come next. I have all of my grandmother’s, and my mother’s, and our own so there are a lot!

My parent’s wedding rings, things our kids made in school, my grandfather’s large antique framed photo of him as a baby, the quilt my best friend made for me from my dad’s shirts, a lot of antique family dishes, the list goes on and on. Thankfully we have a big house.

12 weeks for maternity leave, which was nowhere near long enough.

I have never been been off work because of injury or illness. Been at my job for 28 years only days I called off were about 4 days for dogs over the years. Two days for son had a car accident. Two days when Disney plus came out couldn’t get vacation when it came out. That will change soon as sometime I will need a knee surgery.

Paid maternity combines with paid parental leave for a total of 51 weeks here but I didn't think to count it as an injury/illness issue.

I was 18 10 years ago and have achieved everything I would have wanted in the last 10 years.

About 3000 miles to my aunt's wedding in California. I don't actually remember it, as I was 15 months old at the time. That I remember is about 950 miles, I had a couple college friends who got married in Georgia and South Carolina.
