We had a great lunch there a week ago. We ordered the crabcake, the lobster bisque, the large platter of stone crabs (these are seasonal). We had a couple of nice glasses of wine plus we got the cherry cobbler and the key lime pie for dessert.
I know Fulton's has many detractors among foodies on this board, but quite frankly, everything was delicious. The stone crabs were of very high quality and came with a wonderful cilantro sauce. The desserts were amazing. Our server was also first rate.
The desserts were a delightful surprise. We find that the
DDP has now caused all desserts, even at our favorite Disney restaurants to devolve into something generic and boring. We found this to be the case even at places like Jiko that used to have wonderful desserts. We can only conclude this is because dessert comes with the DDP and
free dining. So, everyone is ordering one, so they are making them cheap, small and generic.
So, it was a pleasure to find yummy desserts at Fulton's. As GeorgeG wrote, Fulton's is not on the DDP, and that makes all the difference.
