What is your opinion of Fulton's?

Why do you like it or not like it?

What do you like to order?

Thank you:thumbsup2

Love it. Lobster, King Crab legs. Also its the only place (to my knowledge) that you can get oysters on the half shell.

Love it! We have had shrimp, lobster, crab, scallops and they all have been very good.:thumbsup2

Fulton's is currently one of the best restaurants at WDW. It is not run my Disney, so it is not on any of the dining plans (that's why it's still good).

We had lunch there about a week ago and I had a really good burger. For dinner, my wife usually orders the king crab claws and I've had one of the best steaks there I've had at WDW in years.

We had a great lunch there a week ago. We ordered the crabcake, the lobster bisque, the large platter of stone crabs (these are seasonal). We had a couple of nice glasses of wine plus we got the cherry cobbler and the key lime pie for dessert.

I know Fulton's has many detractors among foodies on this board, but quite frankly, everything was delicious. The stone crabs were of very high quality and came with a wonderful cilantro sauce. The desserts were amazing. Our server was also first rate.

The desserts were a delightful surprise. We find that the DDP has now caused all desserts, even at our favorite Disney restaurants to devolve into something generic and boring. We found this to be the case even at places like Jiko that used to have wonderful desserts. We can only conclude this is because dessert comes with the DDP and free dining. So, everyone is ordering one, so they are making them cheap, small and generic.

So, it was a pleasure to find yummy desserts at Fulton's. As GeorgeG wrote, Fulton's is not on the DDP, and that makes all the difference.

I've had great steak there and DH loves the king crab claws. Also love the milk chocolate creme brulee.

This place is just amazing...we have dined there 5 times and each time I get the fried lobster tail and fried shrimp (very light non greasy batter) and DH gets the king crab claws. To die for!

We are going back there in a few days and I cannot wait to sink my teeth into that crab boursin cheese dip!!!

OMB - one of the best restaurants in the place.

I am allergic to seafood, so I love, love, love their free-range chicken. The sauteed broccoli and the grilled asparagus are fantastic.

The Key lime pie is fabulous, as well as the Milk Chocolate Creme Brulee.

Tried it for the first time two weeks ago and had a terrific dinner (and service) there.

Do you need to make reservations for lunch? Everytime I search for reservations it has availability, but I don't want to get there and not be able to get a table.

My opinion of the place is tainted by a terrible experience, I think. The menu seems perfectly fine, and the ambiance of the restaurant is charming and unique, at least in Disney World. Unfortunately, between not feeling particularly well when we were there, and being seated in a table that was so close to another group that we could literally feel every single move that they made, we were fairly miserable throughout.

If anything, that's my real gripe about the place. There are sections in the restaurant where the tables are so close together that the backs of chairs bump up against each other.

Anyway, this is one of two restaurants in the Downtown area that are seriously in need of a revisit from us.

I'm pretty sure that bluezoo also has a raw bar.

Thanks for mentioning this. I've been thinking about trying Fultons next trip, but that kind of seating annoys me and might just tip the scales.

When you go, can you ask them if you can order dinner stuff if you eat during lunchtime? Thanks

Nah... Don't let that affect your position on the place. It's quite a large restaurant. So large that getting a walk-up might not even be all that difficult, even at the busiest of times. I'm sure that if your seating is to your satisfaction at first glance, there are plenty of other places to put you. Just let your host know.

It's worth a go. We just didn't know any better at the time. Now we do, and next time we go there, we'll be prepared.

wish i could answer.

we had reservations for a late lunch on our last trip and when we got there we were asked if we could wait a few minutes - well that turned into over 30 before we gave up and walked over to Portafino, walked up and were seated within 3 or 4 minutes.

we did ask twice how much longer would it be and both times we were told oh just a few minutes.

i'm not exactly sure what the problem was but dd and dh was looking forward to trying it.

OK then, I'll put it back on the list.

Thanks for the advice!
