What is your 'happy' place?

The upper peninsula of Michigan, specifically Whitefish Point, Sault Ste. Marie, Seney Wildlife Refuge, Tahquamenon Falls and all the lighthouses and waterfalls up there.

Hey! You stole MY happy place! I love being along Lake Superior, with the endless blue water in front of me, and the deep green forest behind. The beaches are lovely, and it's definitely where I'd spend all my time if I could... if it wasn't for those raging winters!

My happy place is WDW, specifically Epcot (had dinner at Rose and Crown last night, in fact). It's a place where all I have to do is go hang out for a few hours and I'm happy. My favorite atmosphere locations are Germany and the United Kingdom.

My happy place is my old summer camp on the Virginia-Tennessee border, up in the mountains on a lake. It was beautiful place and absolutely magical for me as a child. I spent 10 summers there and whenever i think back to a happy and completely care-free time in my life I always end up there, running across the island to get to my cabin. :goodvibes There was nothing in my life better than camp as a kid and teen.

WDW is happy place as well, but is a little different for me since I live in Florida and i know i will see WDW again. I have many happy memories there but will also make many more memories, whereas I will never see my old camp again.

Future: After I graduate from school DH would like to plan a trip to california to see DisneyLand and also to San Francisco. So I like planning that trip when I get super stressed by school.

The Apple Farm in Maine, at about mid-September when the leaves are just starting to turn but the air is still warm, gold and sweet; the Paula Reds and the Macs are out, as well as other early apples, and the butterflies are everywhere. :lovestruc

I could spend all weekend at the Apple Farm, just walking around. It was the only place I really found peace after my 18 month old niece died in a car wreck, and the quiet and clean air and the smell of apples and ripe wheat just do something to me. :cloud9:

I'm not a fan of apples, but your description totally makes me want to go there!

Right here in the mountains - at the lake.. This is my 58th year of being here and I couldn't imagine spending my late spring through late fall anywhere else.. My own "slice of Heaven"..:lovestruc

Disney related: World Showcase at night watching Illuminations

General: Patagonia, Argentina

Definitely Lake Okoboji, Iowa. I have a picture of sunset there on my computer wallpaper, so I can see it anytime I need an "Okoboji fix". It is my absolute favorite place in the world!!!

Imagine it, New Orleans Square at Disneyland when it is warm with a lovely breeze and the smell of churros rising and intermingling with gumbo and music of the old school jazz and you are looking over the River with the Mark Twain steamboat or often the thought of Main Street ith the smell of sugar and the happy music of ragtime.

I have several. :goodvibes

ANY place Disney
Mackinaw City, Mackinac Bridge and Island
Soaring Eagle Casino/Resort esp when I'm sitting on their beautiful patio.
Downtown Las Vegas esp watching the Queen Tribute on Fremont Street.

and simply drinking my coffee in my favorite lawn chair sitting in the morning (summer) sun. :sunny:

As cheese ball as it sounds, or families little place we have in Gatlinburg. I love that place. When I need to get away from all the stress, that's where I escape to. It's secluded and quiet. My daughter can play in the yard without me having any fears. I can take a book up onto the porch that over looks the moutains and read all day and be so at peace.

In about 2 years I'm gonna join you. Well, not you specifically, but the mountains are calling me. I always feel relaxed and whole in the mountains. We live in the busy suburbs of Atlanta. I can't wait to get rid of 16 lanes of traffic and the fast paced lifestyle. My idea of a great retirement location is a small college town up in North Georgia where we can really be a part of a community instead of being a faceless number at the grocery store.

Two years until DD16 graduates

My happy place is Magic Kingdom. I don't know why (EPCOT's my favorite park), but whenever I need a mental escape, I always fly down to MK.

Definetly Disney World. First choice would be in Epcot, strolling through the World Showcase with a Grand Marnier Slushie in one hand and DD6 holding the other, with my DH's arm wrapped around my waist. :cloud9:

Second choice would be the balcony in our room at the Beach Club with DD, DH and myself watching Illuminations and eating yummy pastries from the Boardwalk Bakery or a No Way Jose sundae from Beaches and Cream. That is heaven!

My most happy place is Universal Studios Orlando. Montauk is a close second.

Definitely Lake Okoboji, Iowa. I have a picture of sunset there on my computer wallpaper, so I can see it anytime I need an "Okoboji fix". It is my absolute favorite place in the world!!!

Agreed! I love Okoboji. :goodvibes Another happy place for me is WDW, sitting on the curb of Main Street at MK waiting for a parade to start. It's a nice time to relax, people watch, and of course - get excited for the parade and fireworks! :thumbsup2

Oh-another Okoboji fan:teeth:!!! You are lucky, though, you are SO MUCH closer to there than I am:sad1:.

My happy place?
Right here where I don't have to worry about the kids at my school tormenting me just because I'm different.
Also, this might sound a little weird but my imagination and my dreams are also my happy place. For the same reason as I previousy stated.
