We will be eating at Rain Forest Cafe the next trip to DLR because the DKs just love the theme. What is good for grown ups to eat there (besides the yummy volcano dessert)?

Hubby and I order the lettuce wraps and a pizza and share... yummy! (In fact we went 2 days in a row last Oct--and got this both times!!)

For appies, I would recommend the Big Blue Crab Delight. Its incredible if you like sea food, and for a main course I would recommend the Tuscan Chicken

I always get either the Rumble in the Jungle Turkey Wrap, or the Blue Mountain Chicken sandwich! YUMMMMMMM

DH and DS LOVE their pizzas. That's what they always get.

They have an appetizer that is quesadillas. I like getting them without the chicken (we're veggie), b/c they are just wonderful.

In addition, we really enjoyed the nacho appetizer, again, without the meat.

As for proper entrees, eh, I don't really like them all that much.

Twice I've had their beef fajitas... pretty normal fajitas, but I enjoy them. I know they give a ton of toppings compared to other places I've been to, with a whole dish of just black beans. My DF does what he always does and grabs a burger. Again, just pretty normal.

Ugh I forget what it's called, but we liked the big app you could share that had a sample of a few things. It was a good way to try them.

The shrimp platter, the coconut shrimp are my favorite! We love the volcano! and some sort of green cocktail , mamba or viper I think, with a take home glass that makes me smile everytime I use it here.

I suggest Saving the $139.00 Dollars you'll spent at Rainforest and go to Blue Bayou and sit near the water and watch the fire flies and POTC float by. It will cost you less because you can share a plate, they add vegis to both plates. You will save a fortune!!!! mho :cheer2: Even with dessert!

#1-Crab Cakes made in house Sundays and Wednesdays(they are freshest those days but incredible anyday) Real big lumps of crab!!!
#2-Chicken fried Chicken. Excellent!! (love the veggie/slaw) This spring break when we were there we ate at the Rainforest two nights in a row! It is usually the first reservation we make every trip. We like the food more than Blue Bayous, although we do go to Blue every trip for desert at least once. The flying Dutchman cookie boat is beyond words.

The shrimp platter, the coconut shrimp are my favorite!

I second that. If you like shrimp, it's really good!

My son loves their BBQ ribs.

My hubby had a pasta dish that was quite good.

However, IMO, gourmet it's not. Just decent food in a really fun atmospher!

Darn! When I saw the title I was going to suggest the Sparkling Volcano but apparently you already know about that! Guess that doesn't really count as a meal anyway.
My son loved their salmon last time we went.

I've been many many times, even worked there (well the one at South Coast Plaza) and my all time favorite is the China Island Chicken Salad. YUMM-O!!!!
In addition the pita quesadillas are great as is the Rasta Pasta. DH and I can easily share the salad and the quesadillas for dinner and be good.

So those are my 3 all time favs!

Their nachos appetizer is TO DIE FOR, and I always get it as an entree. It's big enough that 2 people could really have it as an entree.
