What is your favorite OKW location?

I don't know how quiet it is. When we were down there, DH complained about the singing frogs that were so loud they kept him awake at night! Needless to say I was too busy laughing to give him too much sympathy!

I have not stayed @ OKW but will be planning 2 OKW trips (requiring a 2 bdrm both times) in 2006 and looking for a high floor.

Im getting the sence that the buildings don't have elevators??
Is this true?? :listen:

One person on both trips is mobility challenged and requires a scooter.

Your thoughts...please?? :listen: :listen:

There are 3 buildings with elevators. i think they are something like 62,63 and 64. Request a ground floor room or one of the buildings with elevators.

My favorite building is #23, I really liked that, on the 2nd floor, but on the last couple of trips I was in a wheelchair, so I stayed in building 64 on the 2nd floor, and building 27 on the first floor. On all those trips I had either a one or two bedroom unit. If you have mobility difficulties OKW can be a challenge over by Olivia's, and the boats, especially if you can't walk at all. Actually, the bathrooms are the worst of all. "Wheelchair accessible" is a misnomer. None of the bathrooms are accessible with the doors closed--I swear, there is no way to open the first door outward, then roll in before it closes.

We just returned yesterday (1/14) from OKW. We were in bldg. 62 at the HH area and did not find it to be noisy at all. I liked the location because my grandchildren could go to Turtle Krawl by themselves to get basketballs, dvds, etc. Just our luck, the pool did not open until the morning we left, and then it was raining! The new slide looks great - built as a sandcastle to match the little sandlot area they always had for the tots. If not staying there, Turtle Pond 42, 43, 44 are our favorites. :cool1:
