Mutts - which are not on your list..:goodvibes

I love the Akita. Now I have always trained mine to be the most gentlest and well behaved dogs. I am very picky on the pup or adult that I adopt.

My dear Lily went to run with my other Akitas in heaven. Right now, I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback Lab mix that I rescued. She is a refreshing change from the Akita. Very smart and quick to please, but I still miss an Akita hanging around the house. Maybe next year I will get another one and have two dogs. What fun that would be!

I think thay was it. I am trying to remember what the woman said they were... a irish dog, living in italy with a french name something like that...
does that sound right??

They are an Italian dog that originated in the Himalayas around Iran. So, sounds about right.

You didn't include my family members either ...but we love them all...we are a pack of Pointers, Dachshunds, and a Redbone Coonhound  and one mutt....furbabies all ...no papers needed to identify

I'll go with Lacrosse Lady: I love a Scottie, too.

Terriers in general, Cairn Terriers in particular.

You haven't said my fav (or even one that could be close)
English Cocker! The sweetest silliest smartest goofball around!

Out of the selection, Lab Retriever.
My own personal preference, Collies and St. Bernards.

I'm voting for Mini Aussie. I love my GSD and Border Collie Mix, but the GSD is sooooo big and both are a LOT of work. I think a Mini Aussie would be great - 3 mile runs would probably be enough to wear this size dog out; it's a good size for car rides, and seems like the fur would be easy enough to deal with - groomer every once in a while and the furminator once or twice or three times a week depending upon the season.

If we ever do get another dog though, I'm going to aim for any sort of small (20 - 40 lb) herding dog mix from animal control. After our BC mix, I'm ready for just about any neuroses!:lmao:

ENGLISH BULLDOG!!! Poppinsme-LOVE your picture. What's the bullies name? We have Wilson!

Terriers in general, Cairn Terriers in particular.

What a cutie pie! We had a Cairn Terrier when I was growing up, I loved that dog. I've always wanted to get another, but never seemed to manage it. We have a Fox Terrier right now.

If I had to pick from the list it would be the Rottweiler, but my personal preference would be a Bouvier. They are not for the faint of heart but if you establish who is the boss early on they are the most laid back breed of dog we have ever owned. Ours is my favourite dog of all the ones we have had.

Out of your choices, I picked the German Shepherd but I like Collies best I think.

Every person I've ever met has been a mammal. ;)

:rotfl: I've met some who's mammality is questionable. Mostly based on eating habits and fashion choices...

Greyhounds

They are not what most people think. They have bursts of energy when you let them, but most of the time they are just couch potatoes.

I voted Boxer, which I have, but honestly, you needed Boston Terriers on your list. When we decided to get a Boxer, we already had two Boston Terriers, my DBIL asked, "Why a Boxer, they are just great big Boston Terriers?":rotfl2: Lots and lots of character.
