What is your Favorite Dog breed?

they are beautiful dogs!! my 4-H dog club runs a kitchen for a komondor match show every year and it is fun to see the dogs in various stages of cording

This past year there was a newer breed there, it was a smaller black and tan dog

That is what I want for my second dog. The Kom is rare enough and sits at the bottom of AKC registries, but the Bergamasco is still in Foundation Stock Registry, so even less prevalent. Many Kom breeders and others are introducing it to this country.

If you had asked me 10 years ago I would have given a different answer, but having shared my life with a standard poodle for 10 years, it has to be poodle. No question. I always thought of poodles as prissy sissy dogs, but my Minky is a regal gentleman, well-mannered and loyal. Plus, he hardly sheds at all, maybe a handfull in a WEEK. If I ever have another dog it will be a poodle.

We have a golden retriever that we love dearly. I have also had wonderful dogs of other breeds, like cairn terrier, pekingese, border collie, and mutts. We aren't really breed-loyal, we just like dogs

Boston Terriers or Mutts. The ones you aren't sure what they are! I love pound puppies. There is nothing like adopting one from a shelter. I got my Boston Terrier from a reputable breeder and he is great, but we have a much larger bond with our mixed breed - we think she is Boxer/Beagle/Hound of some sort. She is of the Piper dog breed!

Poodles...for so many reasons. The do not shed. They are very bright. They are loyal. They are stoic. Perfect inside dogs, active outside dogs. They come in three sizes so there is a POODLE FOR EVERYONE!!!
