What is your Favorite Dog breed?

I know I really should be answering this poll since I don't really care for dogs (not that I am mean to them at all) I always say my favorite dog is someone elses.

If I had to pick from the list it would Rottweiler - but I didn't see the breed of dog I did have at one time - Chow Chow.

Not really a mammal person, but I would have to say Daschunds, since I currently live with one and he's my buddy.

Other than that, I like boxers, corgis and bassets.

I love all dogs, but my heart belongs to Miniature Schnauzers. Boxers and Samoyeds come in very closely,tho

they are beautiful dogs!! my 4-H dog club runs a kitchen for a komondor match show every year and it is fun to see the dogs in various stages of cording

This past year there was a newer breed there, it was a smaller black and tan dog

my favorite breed is the Collie. We have a smooth (short hair) collie and we have had 3 puppies from our breeder that my daughter trains for her. I just love them!

Shelties and Snoodles ...er..as they are typically called "Pomeranians".. lol (Snoodle was the nicname of my Pom..so all poms are 'snoodles' to me heh)

Boxers! They are the best,even around kids.

Even though not my favorite breed, I gotta agree with this - I used to work at a stables and the manager raised boxers. She had one, Missy, who was the kindest and smartest dog I've ever met.

Off topic and kind of long but worth it... Next to the stable's indoor arena was a grandstand with the highest seat about 20 feet up and over cement. One day Missy jumps up from her place in the office, pushes open a heavy glass door and runs up the grandstand. The dogs never went on this - it was difficult for them to climb and they avoided the open spaces between seats. Missy gets to the top, leans over and grabs something. It wasn't until then everyone saw a kid hanging from the top row. His parents were inside the office signing up for a trailride. Missy had his collar in her mouth and his shirt started coming off. He let go of the seat and grabbed her ears - Missy didn't move, didn't make a sound until a stablehand and the kid's father got up there and pulled him up. Kid was scared but okay, and the vet checked Missy's ears and all was fine.

And my favorite breed is the Italian Greyhound. I'd love love love to get a dog, but as no one is home for 12-14 hours a day, a companion dog is not in my future.

Or maybe I just need to talk my boss into letting me keep my dog with me at work....

Cocker Spaniels are my favorite, but I voted Rottweiler since Cockers weren't on the list. I like Yorkies too, and my current dog is a yorkie.
