What is your favorite Counter-Service Restaurant in each Park???

MK - Sleepy Hollow (waffle sandwiches!)
Epcot - France and Morocco
AK - Flame Tree BBQ and Yak & Yeti
DHS - ummm, none. Starring Rolls is not too bad and we do Pizza Planet if we have to ;)

I think they are our favorites because they offer so much more than just burgers and pizza. When traveling on a budget you get tired of burger and fries fast :crazy2:

We go in August, so many choices are based on A/C!

MK- BOG (with FP)- really nice QS meal. For example, I had quiche/salad, DD had pot roast with potatoes (not your typical QS meal). Also, free drink refill station- appreciated in the summer heat! Real silverware, neat atmosphere (we sat near falling rose petals; picture on wall flashed from 'prince to beast' every once in a while).

AK- Pizzafari (air conditioning, plentiful seating, interesting decor in each room, caesar salad with your meal) * Flame Tree yummy but outside - hot in August!

DHS- Pizza Planet - really good cupcakes with your QS plan for dessert; kids like to play video games while we relax in air conditioning.

Epcot- Les Halles Bakery in France (but my DD loves fish and chips from UK Yorkshire Fish and Chips- sometimes she will go here and bring her food to eat with us in the bakery).

All time favourite QS meal is Wolfgang Puck Express in Downtown Disney (Marketplace). The variety here is fantastic, especially for QS. Meatloaf, flatbread, pizzas, pastas, spaghetti/meatballs, salads, salmon, rotisserie chicken ... desserts like cream brule, frozen yogurt and cheesecake. We eat here 3-4 times per trip (we stay at POFQ so just a boat ride away). Also, real plates and cutlery here, as well as refillable drinks - kind of like a TS restaurant.

Yorkshire @ Epcot (great fish & chips!) Toluca Legs Turkey @ Hollywood Studios - it's messy but the kids have so much fun eating the turkey legs and they taste great!

MK- Be our Guest FP if we can get it. Otherwise Colombia Harbour house or Sleepy hollow for the waffle sandwiches!

Epcot- so many! France bakery- ham and cheese croissant! Morocco- excellent and a lot of food for your money! Japan- my kids like the chicken teriyaki.

HS- starring rolls cafe

AK- yak and yeti counter service or flame tree BBQ

Sleepy Hollow @ Magic Kingdom has awesome waffle sandwiches. Flame Tree BBQ @ Animal Kingdom.

MK - BOG or Cosmic Ray's

EPCOT - WAY too many good choices, but I'd have to say it's a tie between Japan and Morocco for #1

HS - Starring Rolls for breakfast, Backlot Express for lunch (not gonna lie, mainly because they have a bar, but the food is good too!)

AK - Pizzafari

MK - Columbia Harbour House

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons

DHS - none, really. However, the last time we were there we had an excellent lunch and the Hollywood Brown Derby and would do that over any CS there. Not much more expensive, either.

AK - PizzaFari. OK food, but the location is very nice.

MK: Cosmic Rays & Columbia Harbor House

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons & Tangierine Café

AK: Flame Tree BBQ

DHS: None. I will not eat cs in this park. I eat a nice breakfast, get a snack mid day and then eat at a resort or Epcot for dinner.

MK: Columbia Harbor House for the Lobster Roll, or Sleepy Hollow for the Waffle Sandwiches.

Epcot: Morocco if feeling exotic, Sunshine Seasons if wanting more familiar dishes.

HS: Toluca Legs Turkey Company, because I'm a sucker for a Disney turkey leg!

AK: Flame Tree BBQ, for the chicken & ribs combo.

DTD; Wolfgang Puck Express, so many delicious options!

MK - Columbia Harbour House; BOG

Epcot - Tangierine Cafe; Sunshine Seasons (probably my favorite CS of the whole trip!)

HS - no real good options for me here, but I liked Pizza Planet

AK - Yak and Yeti QS counter

:)

MK-Columbia Harbor House or Tortuga Tavern-both for the different options rather than standard hamburger or chicken nuggets

Epcot-Sunshine Seasons or Tangierine Café...same reasons as above. Also the French bakery has a cheese plate and baguette of bread that my DD and I like to get...really Epcot is the best for counter service.

DHS-don't really like any of the counter service....usually do either Writer's Stop or Starring Rolls for something sweet for lunch ;)

AK-never actually eaten counter service.....but I do love the counter where I can get a Yak Attack!!!!!:cool1:

MK: Cosmic Ray's - I know a lot of people hate it because of the 3 "Bays" for ordering but I love the rotisserie chicken and the portions are huge
AK: Yak & Yeti - we just always wind up here! Asia is our favorite section of the park so we are usually in the area around lunch time
Studios: Rosie's All American (not too fond of QS at Studios in general) this one has a good location and standard offerings
Epcot: Mexico (can't remember it's exact name - the outdoor one on the lagoon) - really good food and nice location

MK- Columbia Harbour House
AK- Flame Tree Barbecue
EP- anything in France or Mexico
HS- Backlot. However, I agree that the QS service there is uninspiring.

MK- BOG
EP- Boulangerie Patisserie les Halles
HS-Pizza Planet
AK- Flame Tree

MK - Columbia Harbor House
EPCOT - Sunshine Seasons
HS - ??? Unfortunately, not fond of the CS here
AK - Yak and Yeti or Flame Tree BBQ
DTD - Wolfgang Puck Express (Marketplace) or Earl of Sandwich

MK: Cosmic Rays by default (BoG is disqualified- if you can't get in it doesn't count. I can't get the rest of the family to try CHH)

EPCOT: Moracco for me, Sunshine Seasons for the rest of the family

AK: Odd park...there is a place to get a great bbq sandwich over by KRR, but f the whole family doesn't want that...) Flame Tree is popular, but you can get really good BBQ so many places these days. Secret note...Have breakfast in the Rainforest cafe on your way in...Huge portions and the prices don't seem so bad after the Disney resort fast prices! You can eat enough to skip lunch- have a decent snack and then get dinner after your day in AK

HS. Don't the CS. Agree- with previous post- better going into the Brown Derby and getting an appetizer or two and some Cobb salads

Mk-bog
Dhs- id rather have mm and skip the Cs
Epcot- Mexican pavilion Cs
Ak- yak and yeti

MK...Pecos Bills, it was our 1st counter service ever and we love the fixins bar
Epcot...we havent done a lot of counter service here, but we like Sunshine Seasons because of the variety, also, I like Lotus Blossom Cafe
HS...again, not a park we eat many counter service meals, but we go into Starring Rolls and The Writers Stop every so often
AK...Flame Tree BBQ has been a staple for us as far as meals are concerned, Yak and Yeti gets a nod too

MK - The only CS we will go to in this park is CHH. Just did not care for the food at the other locations. Sometimes we even take the Poly boat and go to Capt Cooks or Konas and then return.

EC - Tangerine Cafe (not hot dogs and hamburgers) the same for Sunshine Seasons. They offer some variety. When we want lite Somerfest or the Bolongerie Patisserie. Yorkshire Co has good fish and chips

HS - Starring Rolls their deli sandwiches are very good. We have also done Backlot Express if we just want a hot dog.

AK - Frankly we have not found any CS that we like there. Usually we do the TS Yak & Yeti, it is very good.
