The future ain’t what it used to beIn early 2022 when VGF2 went on sale direct price was $207pp, same as RIV. They both went up to $217pp later that year.
$207pp in 2022 is $234pp in today’s dollars.
$217pp in 2022 is $246pp in todays dollars.
Riviera went on sale early 2019 at $188pp. After it opened Dec 2019 price went to $195pp.
In today’s dollars that would be $236pp and $245pp respectively.
Inflation makes me feel old. Now I know what Yogi Berra meant by ‘A nickel ain’t worth a dime anymore.’
And WDW… Nobody goes there anymore, it’s too crowdedThe future ain’t what it used to be
WDW is such a perfect use case for that quote! The guy was a genius. And WDW… Nobody goes there anymore, it’s too crowded![]()
They needed to slow down sales a bit somehow! What surprises me is that they are doing same base price to CFW.

Don’t worry. It won’t be alone. CFW won’t sell out either, if it stays separate from Lakeshore (Reflections) Lodge. If they combine them then I can see it eventually selling out.My poor Aulani will never sell out.
At least VGC is holding steady…at $330These direct prices![]()

We need a Yogi Berra emoji.!!He was a genius. It’s impossible for me to read his quotes without hearing his voice saying it.
It’s more important for those smaller add ons. Those rarely have much in the way of incentives.maybe not a dire emergency to buy now if one is on the proverbial fence.
Don’t look at me, I already did my part by buying 200 AUL direct in a single contract before I knew any better.Yup we need more inventory declared so it's a little easier to book![]()
You could say VGC is even getting cheaper in real dollars. At least VGC is holding steady…at $330
For sure, although the total dollar amount is small if the contract is small. I can talk myself into anythingIt’s more important for those smaller add ons. Those rarely have much in the way of incentives.
Who's getting fomo and buying before Feb 10?
I really think this gives more evidence that the Cabins and Lakeshore will be combined and they are working towards that now. People that invested in the cabins early get a magical moment with lower prices for their investment and these prices are coming up to parity with Lakeshore begins selling. What surprises me is that they are doing same base price to CFW.
I wonder if they announce sold out resort increases like they announce active resorts or if they just do it and someone just stumbles upon it and lets the masses know.
https://dvcnews.com/dvc-program-men...or-many-sold-out-disney-vacation-club-resortsYeah, I was thinking about that too. I imagine it is a much “quieter” announcement, if any at all.
