3. It's absolutely beautiful!

Wow CBR looks beautiful. Just did a search to see which resort everyone likes as we're trying to pick a resort for our next trip if I can not book the Poly which I'm not sure I'll be able to do. Our favorite resort so far is the Poly (only stayed at POR and the Poly). One reason that I love the Poly so much is the beautiful landscaping and pathways. The dining is terrific (love Kona Cafe & Ohana's breakfast) plus the monorail of course. The view of Wishes at night from the pool/beach is unbelievable - this really wowed me!

I'm in the minority and I'm going with a Value - we just  LOVE:love: Pop Century!

1. The price is right! I just booked a preferred room in January for $69 a night. Just can't beat it. I paid more than that for a stinky room in Onalaska WI and all we got was an overcholorinated tiny pool and a breakfast that featured hard bagels and yogurt.

2. The bus service is great. Most waits have been five minutes or less, except one time we had to wait about 15-20 mins for a DTD bus.IMHO, outstanding.

3. Huge store with huge selection, huge food court with huge selection, huge pools. (I guess we like big stuff.)

I could go on and on. We've encountered nothing but the friendliest and most helpful CM's. Mousekeeping has been outstanding. Whole complex is clean.

I think it's really amazing what you get for such a low price. Yes, there's a lot of resorts that are more luxurious and have a lot more amenities. We just don't use all those great extras! I'm at Disney to hit the parks. We need somewhere to sleep, shower, eat quickly and swim occassionally. Pop is AWESOME and I doubt I'll ever stay anywhere else!

So glad to hear such a great report. We leave for POP in 2 days and we are really excited! Thanks for a preview!

Contemporary Resort

1. Location
It's next to the MK. You have very convenient transportation, or can walk to MK. The view can't be beat. The Bay Lake view is wonderful, and the MK view is spectacular.

2. Large Rooms
Wow! You could get lost in those wonderful big rooms. You need to sleep 5. No problem!

3. Theme
Nothing says WDW like the Contemporary resort. It still has some of the "flagship" resort feel to it. It is the original. The other resorts are great with fantastic theming, but they don't feel as connected to the MK. (I've not stayed at the Poly, however)

I also have to say that POP Century is my favorite resort.

Just to preface that I don't make this decision without having done my homework; I've made 21 trips to WDW since 1971 and 5 trips to DL, I've stayed in at least 12 different resorts over those trips, so I do have a basis for comparision. I stay in four and five star hotels all over the country when on short trips.

Four years ago we stayed at Shades of Green. Five years ago we stayed at The Dolphin. I have five children. When I stay at any resort OTHER than the four value level resorts my kids feel as if they are leaving Disney at the end of the night when we return to the resort.

Why can't Disney extend the theming to a moderate or deluxe? I would absolutely love to spend my vacation at a deluxe but without the 40 foot tall icons, my kids will feel they've left Disney at the end of the night.

SSR, Love DTD at night and just being able to walk there any time is great.

The Boardwalk Villas
1. It's where I bought my initial vacation points, so it really does feel like home when I go there.
2. right between Epcot and the Studios so you can walk
3. My favorite restaurant - the Flying Fish - is there.

This is what makes WDW so great, that so many of us have different favorite resorts, and so many special memories and reasons why. Keep them coming.

Pop Century:

1. Atmosphere is so festive and magical
2. Everything Pop has the greatest gift shop and food court. When you get back from the parks and walk in Everything Pop, the magic is still with you.
3. Bus service is great and the lobby and game room are the best.
