what is wrong with my monorail loop?

I thought the monorail went from Poly to GF to MK to CR to TTC to Poly? But when I tried to piece the times together using the Transporation Wizard at Laughing Place, it came to 42 minutes and I thought the loop was 27 minutes? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Jes

If you are piecing together segments, are they allowing for some wait time before getting on the monorail at each stop? Once you're on one, you would only have the few minutes of a brief stop, which works out to roughly a half hour in my personal experience. But if they're allowing five minutes or so at each stop for waiting or loading, that would quickly add up with five stations.

IMHO I have never seen the monorail go very fast so I vote on the 47 minutes. LOL!

I know folks on here love it, but I find it fairly inefficient if you get the "resort" monorail. The Express from the TTC to either the park or Epcot isn't bad.

I checked on the wait time thing but it says add additional time for wait time so I don't think that is it. Can anyone verify the order of my loop? =D

Carol - I agree, LOL. The only reason we are staying at the Poly this trip is for our honeymoon and not for the monorail. I know a lot of people stay at the monorail resorts because they have small children but I just wanted to stay at Poly cause it seemed so romantic.

Thanks,
Jes

Those transportation wizards are always way off about time. They're not always accurate about routings either.

The loop takes 17-25 minutes for a complete loop, depending on traffic and driver.

I use the resort line at park closing when then line for the express is huge. Then it usually is quicker (counting waiting in line) to use the resort line.

I have to agree with this. I have sometimes waited 10-15 minutes at one stop alone, let alone an hour to make the entire loop. The biggest bottlenecks are at CR and at the TTC.

It is also correct that the Express TTC-MK monorail is much faster.

The fastest ways to get to MK from the Poly are a) the resort loop monorail, because you only have the one quick GF stop on the way, b) taking the water taxi, which either stops quickly at GF or goes straight to MK (not sure), or c) walking over to the TTC (next door to Poly) and hopping on the Express MK monorail. But this express monorail can be super-crowded with single-day visitors to MK.

The fastest ways back to the Poly from MK are a) the water taxi, b) the express monorail to TTC, then walk over to Poly, or c) the resort loop monorail, which is slowed by the CR and TTC stops.

The OP has the resort loop's stops correct. But I do think the OLP's longer circuit time is probably also more accurate than 27 minutes.

Tyler you left out "holding for clearance" :rotfl2: I have WAITED up to five minutes out in the middle of nowhere on that track.

I don't get the "love" for the monorail. I actually perfer buses or boats. On buses most parents understand "this is not a playground" . I can't say that about monorails. I have SEEN parents encourage their kids to "climb over" the middle section! ON boats if the parents think they have arrive on a playground you can usually move
