What is with some threads......

When I was bored at home, I decided I wanted to teach myself to play the piano (I had some lessons when I was younger but never practiced so I quit). So DH got me a big keyboard for Christmas and I got a couple song books and just practiced a lot. I still suck, but it kept me entertained! I also wanted to take up sewing. But 2 years later, the sewing machine is still in the box!

Sewing is not my thing. It either gets sent out or DH does it. Mostly DH does it. I play 4 instruments already, but taking up the piano might sound like a good idea, I don't mind adding another one to the list. Thanks for the suggestions.

It varies. After 8:00 or 9:00 is when most people are on. I get on after dinner, about 7:00 usually, but not always. But after the kids are in bed, 8 or 9, I'm usually on for sure by then.

Hello, Teresa and Squiddy!

Normally I teach Kindergarten, but this year I'm teaching Pre-K, since I don't have my VA teacher's license yet. Pre-K is WAY harder than Kindergarten! My job SUCKS. Too many kids in a too-small class, and WAY too many behaviorally-challenged children in one room.

So you can imagine how THRILLED I am to be home for my lunch hour, DISing with you girls!

I have a friend who teaches pre-K too. That's a career I thought about doing myself, but I guess it wasn't my calling. I guess I was meant to work with dead people.
Anyway, I'm going to stop by Mad Hatter's Tea Party now. I never have and I'm curious.

I don't think most people have jobs in what they majored in. I know I surely don't.

Just got back from lunch. Did you ever try the Asian Chicken Salad from McDonalds? It's the only thing I will eat from there - and it's surprisingly good! I am trying to resist going to Starbucks for a pumpkin spice latte - trying to lose 10 pounds. It gets harder and harder as you get closer and closer to *ahem*, let's just say a BIG birthday is coming up!

My nieces daughter started nursery school this year. She turned 3 in June; she has been having separation anxiety and crying when they drop her off.
She is the cutest little thing - I feel so bad for her.
