Just booked our first cruise. Booked a four day because we figured that was a good amount of time to give it a try.

If we like it, we may book again.....

What are the details on the onboard rebooking discount? How far out can you book? Is the discount sizable enough to make a difference compared to the year out or six month out price? Can you move your dates once you book and retain the discount? Can you use the discount to add to your party (next time we might take Grandma along)?

From what I understand, the prices offered onboard aren't significantly different than what you'd get if you booked via a TA once you got back home, but they will offer you a credit to your stateroom account while you're onboard. This offer is only good when you book onboard. Once you're home, I believe you can transfer your reservation to a travel agent and keep the onboard stateroom credit.

Has anybody done this recently?
