What is the nicest thing a Dis'er ever did for you?

I haven't been around here too too long. But i have to say that the people here are so willing to help out. Not a minute will go by with out someone answering your question, which I find amazing. People will go to the trouble of explaining point by point, linking sites that will help or just send hugs.

I thank these boards for so much over the last year or so. Obviously all of the amazing info for my trips, info that constantly surprises my DBF. And all of the info and help on the budget boards. B/c of them I have learned so much, I'm working my way out of my debts and being inspired by others to get there. People like DisneySteve and DVCGirl are always there to answer a question and give their amazing advice. Thank YOu!

Here's another big thank you for the wonderful peple on the Collector's board.
When I was diagnosed with Cancer I told all my dear friends on the collector's board.
I had a very hard time going through treatments but my wonderful friends made it so much better.
Between the gifts and the cards I was receiving something almst every day of the week.
I have stuffed animals that are special to me because they were sent from my wonderful friends.
One woman who I have never even met sent me the most beautiful watercolor paintings that she did of Main St and The castle. I love them and can't believe that someone I haven't even met could be so thoughtful.
I can't tell you how much they helped me get through the hard days when I just wanted to stop chemo and give up.
I thank them every day and will remember them in my prayers forever.
Somehow the DIS seems to attract the most thoughtful and wonderful people. Peggie

I like reading this thread! Nice to see a positive one.

Right before this summer's trip to the World, a DISer - Bavaria - had to cancel her trip at the last minute. She had already placed an order with netgrocer.com and could not cancel it. So, she made arrangements for her groceries to be delivered to us! There were tons of breakfast foods and snacks for us that lasted the entire week - and she hooked my DH and my DS on Nutella! We really appreciated that.

Also, I know we paid for it, but I still really appreciate Feralpeg's baskets that were delivered to our room while we were on our trip. That was pretty special.

Every once in a while you might run into a person here that "gets your panties in a twist" so to speak, but the great majority is above and beyond the top.

I need to say that the other mommies on the new mom thread has been there for me on good and bad days and the some women on the sliver jewerly thread has been extra kind to me too. (exchaning items for me too.) Everyone needs a support group.

MsLeFever had her husband design my comapny logo for me. Now if only she would send me her address so that I can send her some BBQ sauce!

Oh, and one time, someone once went to a Disney store in her area and bought something for me and shipped it to me. And she only wanted to be paid AFTER I received the items. Do not remember who, though.

A while back I was having a terrible problem with a scamming Ebay seller over a Illuminations CD that I paid for and he claimed I didn't. One wonderful disers by the name of Suzanne/Poohnatic offered me the CD. Several times she brought it up to me. I did eventually get the CD after many months of nonsense. Thanks again and a bunch,

Right after the hurricane Katrina hit I posted a message asking how I could get some money and supplies to my cousins in Biloxi. A DIS'r posted and said that people in her town were taking supplies to Biloxi and she could send them some. She sent boxes of supplies and $200 in cash and would not let me pay her back until I knew they had been received. And she said I didnt even have to pay her back at all. I just couldnt believe that she did that without knowing anything about me and not knowing if I would pay her or not. I did - but I could never repay her for her kindness. My cousins were able to make it awhile thanks to her. Their house was still standing but they lost their jobs and didnt have any cash to buy gas or food. But the kind DIS'r took care of that.

There have been so many nice things. There are a lot of really nice people here on theh DIS. Tink33 has been very generous to me, and I'll always be grateful. On top of that, my dad is seriously ill, and there are DISers who call and PM me just to say hello, how are things, and that means so much to me. When I'm feeling down, I just think about how caring people are here, and it helps me get through.

I can't tell you how much I have benefitted from the Breast Cancer Survivor thread that Pea-n-me and Laurabelle started back in May. It has been a God send to me. Hey, I even earned one of my tags from that thread, quite a few of us have, although sadly, more ladies are joining our numbers every week, I am not sure if the famed tag fairy will be able to keep up with the demand.

I have received a number of wonderful PM's concerning my friends and family's plight in dealing with Katrina losses. I received a wonderful care package from a wonderfully kind lady filled with masks to use for the cleaning up process down there and a bonus for me: a darling bear kneeling in prayer.
There is no way to really repay everyone who has given from the heart like that except to pay it forward and do something for someone else in need.

I have a group of close DISer friends who help me make it through life in general with all kinds of fun and esp. hugs and prayers for my sick dad. How blessed I am to know these women!

Oh and I forgot this BIG one!! Mickey's Sunshine and Saffron sent me some meal vouchers that were expiring that they had and didn't use. It was a trip that was just Hunter and I and we ate REALLY well that trip!! Thanks again, Ladies!

I am grateful to anyone who has given me parenting advice here, even if sometimes it is not what I wanted to here. I also have made some amazing, true friendships here, and the support I recieve from these people is incredible (they know who they are. ) I also really appreciate the people who make me laugh, and who have actually made me realize that some people really do enjoy my warped sense of humor. I am also EXTREMELY grateful to the person who sent my son a card from Minnie Mouse and to the person who enabled us to get Gatorland tickets at a great price (and I am SO sorry I do not remember their screennames offhand.)

This DIS is full of wonderful people with big hearts.

When I tell people in my RL about the kindness shown to me by my fellow DISer's, they find it hard to believe that a site such as this exists..
