I love this thread. I was thinking of starting a similar one. I'm having trouble finding that most beautiful name, also. It's hard to find one that my DH and I can agree on.

Then there is the issue of me not wanting one that is too popular (I'm Jennifer). A lot of the names listed like Isabella, Ava, Gabriella, all C and K, and even the Nevaeh are so popular in my area.

My brother was five years younger than me and always wanted a girl named Spencer. When I was pregnant with my DD, he died. About a week after, I found out my DD was a girl. Her name instantly became Spencer. She is sooo much like him in looks and actions!!! Anyway, my favorite name for a girl is Spencer. There are no more girls around here named Spencer.

Another name that I loved was Elizabeth Rose. They call her Lilly Rose. I thought that was a cute name too!

I think the name Rayne is beautiful, and even more so because there is a meaning behind it. I love "family" names that have meaning like that.

My ex-SIL's name is Rayme (Ray me). Her dad's name is Raymond and her name is a take on that. I love that name- I've never heard it before.

In my family, the name that floated around for a while is Lane. It started as my mom's middle name, then my sister's, and my cousin's (a male). His daughter's first name is Layne (Elizabeth). I love her name.

How do your prounounce Aislinn?

I believe Aisling/Aislinn/Ashlynn are all pronounced the same. This is my DD's name. We spelled it phonetically- Ashlynn.

I also the name Brielle. If this new baby was a girl, we were pretty set on Kayley or Keely.
