What is the most annoying thing you encountered at Disneyland/California Adventures?

I really don't get the ipad thing. Do they not know it blocks other people's view?

They're using an iPad...as a camera...in Disneyland...taking pictures of stuff that's duplicated a billion times over on the internet with much better detail and composition. Wondering if they know how annoyingly large their iPad is and how it blocks other people's views is too much to ask of them. I'm just impressed they haven't walked into any walls or fallen into the Rivers of America.
:rolleyes1

I posted this story a few years ago back when the GAC was still around but it still is one of the rudest things we ever experienced at Disneyland.

DH, DS and I were waiting to get on TSMM using the alternate entrance. (DS is ASD so we have a GAC for times when the crowds get to him.) There were at least 15 people in line ahead of us and this man pushes past with a young girl. A few of us said something about the back of the line being behind us and he shrugs and said "I've got a pass, I get to go to the front!" He waved his GAC in my face but I would not let him past me but instead got the CM's attention and she tried to get him to leave the line to talk to her. He ignored her and kept trying to get past us. I told him that the CM wanted to talk to him and he finally went back. A few minutes later, when he saw that the CM was busy talking to someone else, he again tried to get past us, saying that he had a pass to which I replied "We've all got passes." All the while, the CM was trying to get him to come back to the end of the line and wait his turn.

I would not let him in front and eventually he went back to the CM who told him that if he wanted to get on the ride, he would have to wait his turn.

Sadly that was probably one of "THOSE" people who ruined the GAC for people :snooty:

My son who is 8, and has Autism, accidentally sneezed near an older lady while we were waiting at the train station. She loudly said " he sneezed all over me!" I told her "sorry", but she gave me the stink eye for a while. It wasn't gross and green, but a harmless little sneeze. He didn't mean it! i don't think she's been around many children!

I probably would have gasped and said "oh no, boy cooties!" lol

Yes, people stopping just like that... I once, accidentally of course, bumped into a woman who did just that... she screamed at me! I was like "sorry but you just stopped and we are all walking here, look at how much people are coming our way"...

Strollers. Oh god, strollers. Particularly when people with strollers stop in a middle of a walkway, then are annoyed when people start trying to walk around them. Or when people with strollers run into me. (My friends and I joke a lot that I wear my "invisibility shirt" at Disneyland, hence why I always seemed to get run into. I'm 5'10" so it's not like you can't see me...)

Ha I drive an invisible car! People constantly almost hit my car. My husband and I joke that I must be Wonder Woman lol

I don't know that I'd call it annoying, so much as dangerous. A lot of the outdoor flooring services at DCA & GC get very slippery when wet if your shoes have even slightly iffy traction. My son kept slipping & it reached the point that he wouldn't walk on a wet surface without having a death grip on me. Especially bad are the wooden planks on Paradise Pier. I slipped in my walking shoes that have great traction, but managed to recover without actually falling. But, in the span of about 30 seconds, I saw 2 other people bite it pretty hard. An adult man who seemed ok & a little boy who was screaming in pain afterward. I know California doesn't get a lot of rain, but I was really surprised that a safety issue as obvious as this wasn't being addressed.

Lack of photopass photographers with characters and the organisation of Fantasmic and World of Colour annoyed me

Honestly, the only kinds of people that annoy me at disney is the captain oblivious people. We were riding IASW this past weekend, and this group was told to take row 3, and they tried to take up both 3 & 4 and got mad when the attendant told them to all get in the same row as it was keeping another party from boarding. Then one of the ladies was refusing to close her umbrella. Took the attendant telling her 3 times before she closed it, then opened it back up in the ride or right after the ride and got upset when they told her to close it again. Too many people just think they are special snowflakes.

Another one, while on our tour, we were waiting for everyone else to get off of Matterhorn and this lady got upset that the tour guide would not escort her to where the line starts for Matterhorn. Tour guide kept telling her she's running a tour and can't take her, but just follow the line of people and when you reach the end, that's where you get in and it wasn't good enough for her.

Ditto, rude people are at the top of my 'annoyed at DL' list. Actually, the whole list probably consists of rude people. Last minute parade squeezers, kids on shoulders, and flash photos on dark rides are the main ones that come to mind. But at the end of the day, they and their families have to live with their rude selves and I just have to tolerate them for a few minutes.

I have diabetes and have feet issues... was waiting in line for Sully to come out and this little boy about 4 yrs old stood on my foot 3 times.. the 4th time I leaned down and said.. please do not stand on my foot again.. it hurts me.. he looked up at me and started crying... his mother was omg . are you ok to the kid.. and the dad who was out of the line standing to the side came over and said whats the problem.. I said he stood on my foot 4 times and I asked him not to do it again.. he rolled his eyes at his wife and said .. lets just get out of here away from this person.! I looked at his wife with my brow raised and went back to waiting ignoring them.. she said to the husband no we will wait, he wants to see him... and when they got there time with Sully the kid was screaming no no no.. so the dad again looked at me and its all my fault... I laughed at the dad and said.. yup it is..and next time he stands on my foot I wont be responsible for my actions.. so best you keep walking jerk off... couldn't help myself...

I DO REALLY, LIKE YA KNOW, not like the Rude people at DL. But, seriously, I find RUDE people everywhere. From Seattle to Florida to Cancun, I find rude people that think they can do whatever, whenever, to anyone, because they think they are special. I just wish people would remember that everyone at DL is there to relax and have some fun. It would make going to DL much more enjoyable. The wife and go on a week long cruise every year sponsored by one of the big software companies. There are people on board from around the world(even two from Disney last year). The trip is now our favorite trip of the year, Why you ask? Simple, everyone goes out of their way to be polite and nice to each other. We might sit down to dinner and be the only ones at the table that speak English or Spanish. But, everyone makes it work & it is a lot of fun. You can enter a meeting room and overhear five or six different languages being spoken around you. Everyone works together and it works folks. I just wish people going to the DL parks had the same attitude. :charac2::charac2::charac2::hyper2::charac2::charac2::charac2:
