What is the latest on popcorn buckets?

My friend is going with us on our first cruise on the Treasure next year. She’s looking to dig out old WDW buckets, can anyone confirm if this has worked recently? I would never bring any of my buckets since all 3 I own are useless shapes (Figment, Mayor’s Car from NBC, Skyliner).

I always bring my old buckets and haven't had any issues

We brought our old bucket on the trip, but bought a new one with the current theming. Used the old bucket for other things. (Didn’t try to ask to use the old one).

Honestly, say what you will about RCL, but the last time we sailed, the popcorn was free…

The fact that they charge for the popcorn refills at all on DCL is something I really don’t understand… I kind of understand charging for the bucket… You’d think with all the sustainability initiatives they’d say buy a bucket, and if you can, bring it back on the next cruise…

$1.50/ popcorn refill doesn’t even move the needle for me. I’d be shocked if we even went over $15 for the whole cruise. lol

We will bring our old bucket (from 2023 Wonder) and see if it works on the fantasy next week. As my dad always says - “it never hurts to try.”

Yes they do charge for soda. Disney is the only mass market line that doesn't as far as I'm aware.

My DD bought a Figmet popcorn bucket at EPCOT. Has anyone refilled a popcorn bucket on the ship that was purchased in the parks? Otherwise, she will bring the one that she bought on the Fantasy last year. Thank you!

We brought the original red skyliner on wish in 2023 but that was before the policy supposedly changed lots of people with Figment as this cruise was the Monday after opening weekend of Festival of the Arts

Yes. I have cruised 3 times since September 2024 on 3 different DCL ships and have used my 2019 popcorn bucket with no issues.

Just off the Treasure. Got refills in our ancient WDW popcorn bucket - no problem.

We just got off the Dream - used an old Aulani bucket and an old WDW bucket - no problems

I thought when my wife and I went on RCL, there was a charge for popcorn for the shows. Can't remember how much.
