What is the funniest "not quite right" name for an attraction you have heard?

Since I was little my family called Big Thunder Mountain Railroad "Runaway Train" Just this year I realized it was not called Runaway Train. See how much I pay attention to the attraction names over the years-lol.

When I was a little kid in the 70s and went for the first time. BTMR was being built and we were told the name was going to be Runaway Coal Mine Train. Runaway Coal Train is what I called it, so you are not alone.

The Magic Kingdom WAS Disney World until 1982. DHS was MGM until the contract ran out.

No, it wasn't. It was the "Disney-MGM Studios" or the "Disney/MGM Studios" and Cast Members were always warned that it was 100% wrong to call it "MGM" or "Disney's MGM Studios" (another common mistake) and that it was one of the things the secret shoppers (forget what they're called, random people who do spot checks on Cast Members and the service they provide) would be looking for.

Cast Members call it "the Studios." We were required to call it that even if a guest called it "MGM" first, if they didn't know what we were talking about when we said "the Studios" we could say "the Disney-MGM Studios."

Yeah, Disneyland is far superior and actually has some charm to it, since it was actually designed by Walt Disney. ;)

Wow, I just threw up a little bit in my mouth ;) Just kidding... to each his own!

The Magic Kingdom was always the Magic Kingdom which was INSIDE Walt Disney World. MK was never Disney World.

Agreed. As a matter of fact here's a brochure from 1970... and even back then it was MK in WDW.

Someone posted this on here a long time ago and I've had it bookmarked ever since.

Oh my, is that your daughter in your signature picture? That is a BEAUTIFUL picture of a beautiful little girl!!!! I love how it looks as if she's in an actual fantasyland - just gorgeous!

Someone calling Mexico Pyramidland.

I also enjoy the lady who while looking at a map pointed to EE and told her dh that it was the Dinosaur ride.

I know all the proper names- but since kids we have
Tower of Tower
The Epcot Ball
The yeti ride
and a few more

A friend of mine just announced an upcoming trip to orlando in which she would visit Disney World one day and Epcot the next.

oooh. bookmarking that page! I am loving that brochure!!!!!! I love the "the persian, the venetian and the asian hotels" and I also love the whole section on the original ideas for EPCOT. Even better I think is how it refers to Lake Buena Vista as a "new community". You forget it wasn't there until Disney put it there.

Thanks for all the laughs everyone!!!
I have laughed out loud more than a few times today!!

One I remember when my boys were little was they referred to WDW as "Mickey Mouses's house".

We also still refer to thunder mountain railroad as "the wild ride"
because my son would repeat what they say just as you start the ride
"this is the wildest ride in the wilderness":rotfl:
