What is the funniest "not quite right" name for an attraction you have heard?

Since my DD was 3, she has been riding Kelly Ripa Rapids!

The acronym for Monster's Inc. Laugh Factory made me giggle a little.

Since you admitted it first... me too :goodvibes

Did you ever notice how, with all the inititals/acronyms flying around here, that is one you never see :rolleyes1

Nope and thank goodness it isn't a ride. Can you imagine... I'm going to go ride the ...... :rotfl:pirate:

Saying Disney World instead of Magic Kingdom is no better or worse than saying MGM instead of DHS. The Magic Kingdom WAS Disney World until 1982. DHS was MGM until the contract ran out. Although I would be much more likely to do the first because I went to the Magic Kingdom before Epcot several times, but I was never in DHS when it was MGM.

What I do, that may annoy some, is refer to the Peoplemover. The ride has not changed since that was the name, and I just LIKE Peoplemover better than TTA. Also it can be easy to confuse the acronyms TTA and TTC, which are VERY different.

I never refer to TTA as peoplemover because I never remember it being called that. I agree the Peoplemover is a much simplier name:thumbsup2

I always call the TTA, "The Peoplemover." And I still call Spaceship Earth the Golf Ball.

My Mom gets Mission Space wrong a lot by calling it Mission to Mars.

Ehh, doesn't bother me too much.

I like Blizzard Expedition though...might have to add that one to my vocabulary!

My little guy refers to the haunted mansion as the "tea party ride" because he likes the scence where all the ghosts are dancing in the dining room. We told him they were having a tea party so he wouldn't get scared and now it's the tea party ride.:rotfl:

Heck, I still call the TTA the WEDway Peoplemover.

The best though is my oldest son, on his first trip to WDW at age 5 called E.P.C.O.T. -- Apricot.

Can't think of any off hand, but I might leave you with a doozie someday. Once every couple of trips I start saying silly stuff to my wife while we are walking around. Like... "did you know that the castle was actually part of a Spanish fort back the the 1700s."
I guess I've heard people call Mission Space "Mission to Mars"

Something my son and I would say to each other! And then each time make it more and more ridiculous! :rotfl:

We all call Spaceship Earth the big ball. My ds calls Star Tours "Star Wars" and Test Track "Fast Track". I'm also guily of referring to DHS as MGM.

Well I think that there is a bit of a difference if Magic Kingdom hasn't been Walt Disney World since 1982 and DHS hasn't been MGM for like a year. I still catch myself all the time calling DHS, MGM.

Funny thing is, I call it Peoplemover too, and I'm pretty sure it was not called that since I've been alive. I just like that name better, so that's what I want to call it. Or I call it the Blue Line sometimes, which is not any of it's past names I don't think.

The acronym for Monster's Inc. Laugh Factory made me giggle a little.

The first time I saw the name for this, before it even opened, I was amazed. I would have expected that, with some of the other things that have cropped up (whether real or imagined) in movies, posters, etc. over the years, Disney would have a thorough screening process to catch things like this. ****! Hilarious!

Since I was little my family called Big Thunder Mountain Railroad "Runaway Train" Just this year I realized it was not called Runaway Train. See how much I pay attention to the attraction names over the years-lol.

The Magic Kingdom was always the Magic Kingdom which was INSIDE Walt Disney World. MK was never Disney World.

I still call it the "wedway" too.

and my brother did the same as your son - he called it "epicot" or "epricot"for the longest time, just like apricot. so much so that we still call it "epicot" amongst ourselves. People probably think we're dense.

My friend and her 5y.o. twins call Haunted Mansion "Ghost House."

My DD has always called Big Thunder "Crazy Train" and it has kind of "stuck".

The best she has come up with was sitting in the front row at FOTLK and LOUDLY singing her version of Akuna matata. "It's our problem free colonoscopy". The preformers actually started laughing in mid song.
