What Is The Funnest Thing Your Kids Have Said At Disney?

We went to WDW in 2002 - my DD was 4 1/2 - she watched the vacation video and REALLY wanted to do ToT - I had never done it myself, but totally looking forward to it (DH is a total ride weenie) so after many times of asking - "are you sure", "are you sure", we stood in the line for 30 mins or so... we get to the ride - and of course this is when they had the lap bar - so needless to say - the bar stopped at MY LEGS - and did nothing to help DD! Well, we exit the ride - she's getting her land legs back and I say - "wanna ride again"? And she looks at me and says "Mom, why don't we just let the other people have a turn!" It was too funny!

Ok, this is a little OT (not a child speaking), but I still think this is one of the funniest things I've heard at WDW.

We were watching a parade at the MK, and a woman walked by carrying a crying child. Under his breath, the man standing next to us said, "Quit crying kid, you're in the happiest place on earth."

We just got back on Friday and we had taken along my oldest DDs friend (12 years old), who had not been to WDW since she was 5. She loves coasters and thrill rides and was so excited when we went to MGM because she desperately wanted to ride TOT and RNRC. On the way to RNRC she kept saying how she couldn't wait and how excited she was. As we approached the entrance of the ride she looked up at the upside-down car on the tracks, stopped short, and with great disappointment exclaimed 'OH, NO, it's broke!' :teeth:

Last year was my 6-year old son's first trip to Disney World. He is a HUGE HUGE Winnie the Pooh fan. After not seeing him at MK, we finally caught up with him in Epcot. We waited in line and when it was my son's turn he just stood there. He was in awe. We shoved him forward and he managed to mutter something and hand out his autograph book. Then after we got outside he said "I met Pooh, now my life is complete!" :rotfl:

KimR - Was she a blonde????:p

I've got something I overheard at BB last week - can I put it in??:teeth:

As we were packing up to leave about 6:00 there was a family packing up next to us with about a 5 -6 year old boy. He looked up at his mom and said, "This has been the FUNNEST day of MY WHOLE LIFE" in the sweetest, most sincere voice! Everyone around was laughing and aaawwwing at the same time. WDW should have been filming this kid!

My 3 year old did NOT like Journey Into Imagination. She especially didn't like the part of the ride where the "skunk smell" is sprayed on you.

As the ride was coming to a close, right before the wall falls down and shows the 4 million Figments singing, I asked her if she liked the ride. Of course, she answers as LOUD as possible in that 5 second gap where the doctor's monologe ends and the Figments appear...

"NO, MOMMY!! FIM-MENT HAS A STINK BUTT!"

Cue the Imagination song after butt, and add a car full of laughter :)

We took DD on her first trip to MK when she was 3, and pretty newly potty-trained. We were at O'hana for the character b'fast, and she needed a restroom stop. I took her in, and was a little apprehensive to see auto-flush toilets. She had never experienced them before, and I wasn't sure how she'd react. Well, when the "big moment" arrived and the toilet did its thing, she looked up at me with a wide-eyed look and squealed, "Mommy! Even the potties here are magic!". Much giggling from the other patrons ensued, and I replied weakly, "You're right, sweetie." We beat a hasty retreat, me blushing the whole way out. Now, almost 3 years later, DD still remembers the MK and those Magic Potties!

We stayed at WL last August and celebrated my DD 3rd bday on our vacation. She asks me almost daily "when are we going back to our nice house in the woods?" (not soon enough!):earsgirl: :earsboy: :wizard: princess:

When we took our nieces two yrs ago we were getting on the TTA when My youngest DN 6 at time asked what the little signs on the ride meant, Before i could tell her that it meant to keep their arms and legs inside the car a CM pointed to it and said "no wild parties." So after that everytime they would get on a ride they would see this sign and say No wild parties on this one either, and then crack up laughing.

My best friend took her 4 year old, red haired daughter on POTC. When the pirates at the auction started yelling, "we want the red head," my friend's daughter with total shock and fear on her face said, "they want me!"

First trip tot he mouse as a family in June / July 2001.

We were in the MK walking thru the castle. We stop off at the PS desk for Cindy's to check-in for our PS. The girls did not know about this. They had been looking around a little then DD2 who was 3 at the time asked "Can we go in and see if Cinderella is home?". DW said without a beat "Sure, let's go!". The look was priceless...

After breakfast, we were getting ready to leave and wanted the girls to make a pit stop. Of course, they said they did not have to. DW, again quick on her feet, said "How many times are you going to get the chance to go potty in Cinderella's Castle?"... Next thing, I was alone as the three of them went into the ladies room...

From the same trip. We has not told the girls that we were going to WDW. We stopped off at the Florida Welcome Center on 95 and took them out of the van and spread out a blanket on the grass to take a break. We then pulled out the Mickey and Minnie we had stashed in the van and said "We are going to Disney World!" Their reaction? "Can we go and pick the flowers?" that were growing nearby...

Is it July yet?

DD of 9 and my DD of 5 for our second trip in two years. We have been driving for over 10 hours, checked in at the Dolphin (LOVE THAT PLACE) and went down to the Dolphin Fountain for dinner. We were all talking about the trip, how great our room was (renovated, great view of Epcot and a balcony), etc. when my youngest, out of no where, said to her big sister " Cathy....we are here!!!!!". I know you had to be there but we all laughed and laughed over this reality check!

Back in 2000, My dh and I took our three DGDs and when we were on the POC and they were saying "WE want the red head"over and over again.
Well as we were leaving at the end. The two older girls(7yrs, and 9yrs) started chanting "We want the red head"!
Well not to be left out my 4yr.old DGD. starts chanting "We want the red HEN!"
My DH and I thought this was so funny. There WERE chickens running around and I figure at 4 yrs, its probably better she think they wanted a hen instead of a women.

Well mine isn't from WDW (we haven't gotten there yet)

We just told our nieces that we are taking them to WDW. The 9 year old was very excited asking about rides, airplane, hotel etc. The 5 year old turns to me and says "How many socks do I need to pack" This was hilarious as that is the only question she asked the whole time.

For our upcoming trip in Aug/Sept, we are bringing my in-laws, MIL, FIL and BIL. In addition it will be myself, dh, dd (7.5) and ds (3). Dd when asked about Space Mtn., says that she wants to ride with Grandmom because she wants to hear her pray!

I can't wait to hear the funny things that ds will say on this trip because he has some doozies at home. His latest is that the bunnies are going to get him. We have a couple of rabbits in the backyard and in his most serious tone, he says Mommy the rabbits get me. My response - only if you are a bad boy!!!!
