What is the food you won't eat?

i absolutely will not eat:
seafood (of any kind, cooked or raw)
organ meats
brussel sprouts
broccoli
cauliflower (looks like a brain)
olives
poke salad (the southern folks know what this is)
beets
venison (deer meat...blech)
any meat that isn't WELL done (thanks to my former biology professor)
fettucini alfredo (God, does this stink to high heaven)
cheese, except melted on pizza
spinach, collards, cooked cabbage or turnip greens (ugh, stinky)

i'm sure there's more, but it's early, lol
 
Cruciferous vegetables. The smell alone makes me feel quite ill -- there is no way I could ever get them past my lips.
I had to look this up. That is a very long list of vegetables.

I can not eat BEETS.
 
Onions
Mushrooms
Peppers of any variety
Organ meats, tongue, feet, etc
Scottish delicacies like haggis or blood sausage or pudding
Salmon - I like almost any fish or seafood, but cannot get past the fishy taste of salmon
Wild game meats, elk, deer, etc - overdosed on these when I was a poor college student (DH hunted at the time and had a large supply of them in his freezer), now even the smell of someone cooking it turns my stomach
Large bits of fat in any meat - GAG
Avocados - I like them fine but have a mild allergy - they make me barf
Bugs of any variety
Any cheese that is highly stinky and/or visibly moldy or "runny"
Black licorice or anything with a licorice-like flavor... fennel, etc
Anything wintergreen flavored... can't even stand the smell.
 
Mine are pretty much the same as everyone else:

Brussel Sprouts
liver, gizzards or any of the other organs (I do like tongue though)
 

I will not eat any kind of anything that came out of a body of water. :rolleyes: LOL, I know, I know!

I also won't eat mushrooms, BLEAURGH!! :crazy2:

Oh, and I am an extremely finicky eater; lots of things I won't eat. Those are just the top two ;)
 
Any type of seafood or fish. Well, I make the exception for canned tuna, but I'm not sure that really counts!
Also not crazy about red bell peppers.
 
1. liver (blood sausage would also fall in that category, grossest looking foods on earth!)
2. peppers of any kind
3. mushrooms
4. not a big fan of beans, will occasionally eat baked beans or yellow beans..hate string beans, kidney beans, etc
5..would add coffee to the list, but don't really know..never had a sip in my life!
 
I can't get myself to try it because my experience with canned tuna...it's a mental thing.

Agreed. Same thing with salmon. My dad ruined it for me by always eating it straight out of the can. The smell still haunts me. So bad that I can't attempt even a bite of a real salmon fillet.

I don't eat most meat. No hamburger, etc.

I will eat steak once in a blue moon, though, because I get a craving (I think my iron must get low??).

Will not eat:

tuna
salmon
meat
sausage of any kind
hot dogs (Haven't had one since 1995)
any game *we have 75+# of buffalo in our freezer...DH and kids are going to be BUSY this year!*

That's about it. I love all veggies, most fruit (not big on red apples or grapefruit), all legumes, love white fish. All dairy (the stinkier the cheese, the better!)...

Can't stand Sprite/7up, though.
 
beets. Beets, beets, beets, beets, beets....[....did I mention beets?? :rolleyes: ]
 
I LOVE shrimps, but might die if I ate them so I don't. (I used to eat them, and one day as a teenager became allergic to them and other soft shellfish..i.e.crabs,crawfish,etc...)

Won't eat Okra, Cabbage(unless it's in an egg roll), Nothing that filters I.e. liver, kidneys, etc., and that's about it.

There are some foods that I haven't tried, but I don't count those because I haven't tasted them yet.
 
I'm a big fan of meat, but won't touch organs.
I love most seafood, including lobster, crab, shrimp, calimari, and clams, but I hate oysters, anchovies, and sardines.
I love california rolls, but I won't do raw fish.
I love cooked onions, but can't stand raw onions.
I hate pickles.
I like most vegetables, with the exception of green peppers.
I don't eat much fruit because I never really have a craving for it. But I can't think of any fruit that I dislike.
 
....hmmmm, my mom loves peanuts, but hates peanut butter....

In that case, the taste is pretty much the same, so it must be the texture that she dislikes.

With onions, cooking them changes the texture, but it also completely changes the flavor. The sharp bite goes away and they become sweet.

Well, I don't like the obvious gross stuff like liver sausage, raw clams and organ meat.

One common thing I hate is raisins. I can't stand biting into something and getting a raisin in my mouth. :scared: The texture and flavor of them ick me out.

I don't normally eat carrot cake for that reason.
