What is the fantasmic package?

Please give me an inside on what this is about and price? Maybe we might want to do this in Nov.

Basically, the Fantasmic package includes your meal at your choice of 3 differently priced restaurant and priority seating at Fantasmic (don't have to wait in that LONG line!)

The 1st tier of restaurants is a buffet at Hollywood and Vine. The cost is somewhere around $20 per person 10 and above and somewhere around $9.99 for kids 3-9. Here you will get the full buffet and choice of non alcoholic, non speciality beverage.

The next tier is Mama Melrose Italian Ristorante. Here you will get a flatbread pizza for the table to split, each person gets their entree and choice of dessert. I am not sure, but I believe that the beverage is extra. The cost runs about $28 per person 10 and up and around 10.99 for kids 3-11

The 3rd tier is the Hollywood Brown Derby. Here you get your choice of appetizer, entree, dessert, and again, I am not sure about the beverage. The cost is in the neighborhood of $35 per person 10 and up and 11.99 for kids 3-9. You will be given a voucher at your dinner and directions on where to go, and what time so you can see Fantasmic.

You will pay for your dinner at the time of you Priority Seating arrangement, so you will need to put it on your CC. You will be given a confirmation number at that time, and of course the date and time for your seating. Remember, if it does rain , there is always the possibility of Fantasmic being cancelled. You may still go to the dinner, as it is paid for already. If you decide to cancel your dinner, it will need to be done 48 hours ahead of time.

The only thing I have to add, is that they take a CC, to hold PS, but it isn't charged unless you don't show, and don't cancel, before the 48 hour mark.

Also- the dinner times, are the earlier dinners of the eve. For instance- Our Brown Derby PS, is for 3:40. A little early for dinner, but the latest they have is 4 pm, for the Fantasmic Package.

We have been to Hollywood,and Vine, and Mama Melrose, and enoyed both. It was nice to not wait in line to get to Fantasmic. The seating is to the left of center, but still good.

Can you book the Fantasmic dinner package with MYW dining?

My understanding is no you can't book it with the dining plan. I plan to pay for ours. I figure we will use counter service meals that day. Since my sister and niece are probably coming with us. I am going to have to work out how we are going to do these meals.

But I know she would love Fatasmic and I will pay for all of us and say Merry Christmas!

OK, every time I see a post regarding the Fantasmic dinner package, I have to put my 2 cents in. When Fantasmic first opened, you could go to any eatery in MGM, have any meal, including sandwiches,and everyone in your party got admission to Fantasmic through the front gate by the stroller rental. I guess they {Disney} relized that it was such a popular show, and so many people wanted to get in that special gate, that they might as well make it a bit more profitable by requiring folks to spend a certain amount of money on meals, so they initiated the dining program. We got to see the show twice way back then, but shortly after that, they started the program, and we have not seen it since.
