What is the earliest you have been able to check-in at a DVC resort?

On our trip last month we checked into our 2 bedroom at OKW at 8am. On most trips we have been extremely luck and have managed to be in our rooms by 2pm.

Our room at BWV was ready around 8:00 am a couple of weeks ago. I did online check in, and told them we would be checking in at that time, and the room was ready! I have had rooms ready really early in the past, and really late in the past, just seems to be luck of the draw.

I routinely check in around 8-9 am on the first day. The room is usually not available at this time but, since we drive, we head to the parks for the day. We return in the afternoon and our room is ready. They will store our luggage for us and, once inside the room, we call and the luggage is brought up to the room.

We checked in to BLT at 8.45am on 20th September this year. We switched resorts after 2 nights at POP and did not expect a room to be available - we thought we would leave our stuff and return later after a day in MK.

We were thrilled our room was available because it meant we could go back at lunch time for a rest which was great as we were still jet lagged after arriving from England 2 days before.

This year we stayed at SSR three times and arrived between 11:30 and noon. Everytime a room was ready for us.

However, on our last trip in July, we had a room in the Paddock section, but I aksed if anything was available in Grandstand, and so we did have to wait then for a room in the Grandstand area. We were in our room around 2:30, after trolling around DTD.

The building in the Paddock area we were assigned to was a great spot (building driectly across from the Congress Park bus stop just over the bridge to the Springs area). We stayed there on our first trip to SSR. However on our second trip to SSR we staying in the Grandstand area overlooking the pool and I fell in love with that area and view.

Our earliest was 6:30a during a "continuing stay." We had 10 nights booked in the same resort and unit type through two different reservations: 7 night inbound exchange (II) and 3 nights on points. The first check-in was perfectly normal (sometime after 4PM, standard for us given flight schedules) -- and the 2nd check-in was performed automagically by the resort staff. Our new room keys and check-in paperwork was slipped under our door at 6:30a on our final morning of the first reservation. The resort allowed us to stay in the same room ... easy, breezy!

You were very lucky. That has never happened to us. And we were on DVC reservations and DRC reservations.

You're not going to believe this but, back in 97 we were booked in a GV at OKW. We were staying at Marriot hotel for the WE and were to check in on Sunday. I called OKW early in the morning around 8:00 AM, and they told to me to come right over because our GV was ready. I couldn't believe it.

11am for us back in February 2006. But in May of 2006 (3 months later) we had to wait until after 4pm (somewhere around 5:30pm).

But besides that May 2006 trip, we've always been able to get in when we arrive (typically 3pm or earlier). knock-on-wood
