If you want a noisy (
not in a bad way), entertaining, interacting with the chef, fluttering knives and flying shrimp tails and onion volcanoes, everything cooked on the flat grill and the only true difference between the dishes is whether you choose beef, shrimp, etc - then you want Teppan Edo. This style of cooking/presentation is called
teppanyaki, hence the restaurant's name, and the pp is absolutely correct - this is what Benihana is famous for.
If you want quieter, entertain yourselves, order a dinner of either cooked (tempura for example) or uncooked (sushi or sashimi) or some combination thereof, no chef in sight, private table (no sharing with other parties) - then you want Tokyo Dining.
We've done both, and each has its own charms. For our crew, the pickier eaters and the meat-and-potatoes-types tend to be happier at Teppan Edo, but myself personally I prefer Tokyo Dining.
