What is "Reservation Status"?

Hello all. Looking for some help. I saw a resale listed with points that are in "reservation status" and need to be used by 2-1-07. Does anyone know what this means? Would these be points that must be used in the Disney Collections because there was a cancelled ressie there? Thanks for any info you can provide!

Yes, "Reservation Points" are from a cancelled non-DVC reservation. They may only be used for another non-DVC reservation and may not be used at a DVC resort. They cannot be banked and will expire at the end of the current Use Year. Some have reported that they have been allowed to transfer them to other members.

Thank you. I believe I might know the seller in this case because she had the points listed for rent. She inquired about a transfer and was told "no" by MS.

I asked recently and MS said no as well. I'm almost certain there were reports a few years ago about people transferring reservation points but no more.
