What is REAS exactly?

I'm a newbie so forgive my ignorace, but we are thinking of going on a cruise next year.. What is REAS and is it something that I should do/get if we are going with a child?

REAS is a package of "goodies" for grownups. It stands for Romantic Excursion at Sea or something close to that. The price includes a couples massage, dinner at Palo, champagne breakfast, gift in cabin, etc.

The biggest part of the deal is that you can book your spa reservations, Palo reservations, and breakfast in bed morning in advance thru a delightful lady named Debbie. You can also specify which dinner rotation you'd like (it matters to some people).

So...is it worth it with a child? How romantic are you going to be with a small child? It is a grown up present, not a kiddie thing!

Hmmm, it could be a good thing for me since we are contiplating doing this cruise on our anniversary!!!!

We are doing REAS - and I'll have 2 teenage boys in the room. There are other aspects that make it worth while - the couples massage, and the ability to have the massage and Palo scheduled prior to boarding. Unfortunately, the rose petals they leave on the bed will not fortell any romantic interlude - and probably be more of an annoyance than romantic.
