I've seen references to photopass, can anyone explain what it is, where you get it and how $$$. Thanks for the help. :flower:

Hi Twinglemum ~ We just got back from a trip in February and it was the first time we used Photopass. The park photographers that take pictures around the park use the card to store your information. When you see a park photographer on your first day just ask them for a Photopass card. There is no cost to have the card. Then each time you see a park photographer and you would like them to take your picture just tell them you have Photopass and they will swipe your card and store your information with the photo. You can still go at the end of the day and check your photos and purchase them or you can wait until you get home and look at the photos on-line and purchase them then. I am not sure of all the prices but the 5x7 is $12.95 (if you use the Disney Visa you can get 20% off your order with a code). I also just received an e-mail from Photopass for 30% off my order. It is probably a good idea to check your photos before you leave the park even if you want to buy them when you get home. I really wanted a picture of me and DD holding Tink at MK but when I got home DD and I were just holding out our empty hands. We also had pictures missing from AK. I liked the idea because I usually avoid the park photographers because I don't want to stand in line at the end of the day behind 50 other people to look at the pictures and with Photopass I have the option of buying them at home so I don't miss out on any great pictures.

Beware.......although the card worked at AK and Epcot all our MK pics were lost when WDW downloaded to their site. I never got them and Disney said they were lost. I am so dissappointed. :sad2:

We used the Photopass and loved it. We got some great pics of our family on Main St. w/the castle in the background and dd8 "holding" tinkerbell. We also got some great shots of the kids w/characters in Epcot.

I hope they work out all the problems because I think this is a GREAT idea and service. I used to dread trying to fit in stopping at Guest Services to see if we wanted to buy the photos and then I end up buying more then I wanted to on impluse and I didn't like having to pack them and worry about them getting bent.

Now I can pick them from home after I've seen how my photos came out and decide whether I need anymore.

I love it!

Can you have them put on a CD and how much dose this cost, like if I wanted to go at the end of my day at MK could I have them all put on a cd rom disc or do you have to buy prints

All the times I've bought prints I never saw the option to put them on a CD.
