What is not to miss at OKW?

Not to miss for us each stay:

swimming first thing at Turtle pond pool....getting there before anyone else, and letting the kids play shuffle board.

getting the conch fritters at the gurgling suitcase with the spicy sauce while sipping on a Pina Colda

taking an early morning walk, watching the sun rise over the lush greens and flowers

spending an entire day at the pool!!! Not moving from my chair and letting the kids enjoy all the pool games and stuff they do.

getting into a ping-pong match with the kids and husband and turning it into a small tournament

borrowing a Disney movie from Hanks, popping some corn in the micro, spreading a blanket on the floor with all the pillows and watching while listening to the rain on the deck.

watching the golfers go by while we sip our afternoon cocktails on the deck

We love OKW!!!

Olivia's. This place is so relaxing and the service is always top notch.If you go and they are having the fried chicken special get it. I am from the South and that is honestly some of the best fried chicken we have had. The next thing is do not forget to take time to enjoy the quiet of OKW. This is our home resort and there is no place at WDW in which we are as relaxed as here.

The boat ride to DTD is really fun especially when the otters are playing on the canal banks. I just could go on and on but you will understand once you get there.Have fun and I sure wish we were going but that is in January.

I remember watching hot air balloons from our balcony at OKW and thought it was pretty cool...does anybody know if they're still around? Or what "time" or "season" they're visible?

We stayed in a 1 bedroom this past summer and loved it!! I loved the balcony with the ceiling fan the best!!! Do the studios also have ceiling fans on the balconies??

No, the studio balcony is small and more square with a small end table and two chairs. The one thing I don't like about the lock offs is that we always have a 1 bedroom for the two of us, and I sometimes feel like I have to keep the blinds closed on the side toward the studio room to keep occupants of the studio from looking into our living room window. It's usually not an issue, but sometimes you get people who are curious about the living room area.

I don't remember the exact name of it (I am sure someone else will!) but Olivia's serves the most amazing pineapple-coconut bread! Oh I could go for a few pieces right about now!

You will love OKW. Olivias has great food. The main pool is very nice and very relaxing. The resort itself is very spread out and lush landscaping. I think my families favorite thing is the boat ride from OKW to Saratoga Springs and Downtown Disney.

Love, love, love everything about OKW! Did I mention that we just love OKW?

We have stayed at a 2BR and a GV and just loved it each time! The grounds , the bus service and all of the pools are awesome!

Olivia's is one of the best restaurants at any resort! Kudos on the pineapple bread too!
