What is Merry Member Mixer?

The DVC member site talks about checking back for information on the 2010 Merry Member Mixer. What is this? Has anyone gone in the past?
We will be at BCV Dec 10,11,12, & 13...wanted to know if I should plan for this.

I have gone to these in the past when they were outside between EPCOT and BCV. They were lots of fun with free Christmas cookies and hot apple cider. You can have your picture taken with characters in Christmas attire. There were hula hoop contests and Christmas crafts. Musicians and carolers, too. And best of all, each member gets a special gift - usually special Christmas tree ornaments. I am definitely planning on attending this year again!
