STILL no update to the June hours? Will MK seriously be closing at 10pm every night?

I can't believe we are approaching mid-May with no updates on this.

Yeah, they were updated on 5/2 on the travel agent site, but still 10 p.m. for MK every night. My suspicion is that they are waiting and hoping the night activities you have to pay for take off and they can schedule more. I'm not sure they have. I bet we'll still see changes, but how far in advance, I'm not sure.

I was wondering the same thing! Closing MK at 10pm just seems crazy to me. I still can't believe the waterpark is closing at 5pm when we are there. It's summer in Florida! 5pm is really early!

Based on the room only deals for summer, you have to assume that room reservations were lighter than usual. it's possible they are still waiting to see if crowd projections warrant later hours.

I thought that travel agent site no longer worked? I have the link and it appears to have no content.

Extended hours for Easter went up a week or so before. It was very frustrating.

It is frustrating because they expect you to plan every aspect of your vacation out months and months in advance and yet they don't have hours available so you can properly choose where you want to dine and such. :/

I don't think Disney is suddenly taking it away, when the hours have been posted for months. Yes, they generally extend the hours, but that is the consumer assuming that it will happen, just because it did before.

On that note, even though I don't have to plan trips like most people, I DO think that it is super frustrating to have guests plan everything so far in advance, just to have it changed last minute on Disney's end.

Believe it:sad2: I would just take the mid-May hours and assume that's what will happen. I think it's a fairly safe bet. I also don't think hours will decrease; they will only increase from what's listed for June now. With so many new things, this summer is just going to be a mess concerning the schedule and crowd calendars.

May hours were extended mid April. Look for June hours to extend mid May.

I read on another board that 25 of the nights in May had hours of 11 or later not including EMH. Honestly I just thought they always waited until last minute to change hours. We are going in July and honestly this is low on my list of worries, as I firmly believe they will change.

Arguing about disney being a business and why you should not feel entitled or crossing lines......blah blah blah just static noise constantly on hear for years. :sad2:

Agreed!

Disney doesn't "sometimes" offer more hours in summer, June specifically; in the past 12 years (which is simply as far back as I cared to keep scrolling historical calendars) they have been open later than 10pm every single day 100% of the time.

It is quite reasonable to do some research when you're planning a vacation. In order to get the best choices of resort, or restaurant, or add-on tours, or possibly to take advantage of discounts, you have to book a certain amount of time in advance. To say nothing of the time needed to save up and the family's excitement over the chosen destination. If you're researching Disney, you'll find many guide books, blogs, forums and historical information all pointing to the fact that Disney almost always extends hours AND that they have almost always done at least some of that before this relatively late hour. It makes perfect sense for a person to believe the hours would be different that 10pm and to be frustrated that they can't finalize plans yet at this point.

After planning vacation time, paying deposits, booking airfare, and making many reservations, "just don't go" is not a practical solution for most travelers. I don't see how pointing this out can be considered whining (specifically in my case, I haven't traveled in June in a long time and am not going this June. I can hardly be accused of stomping my feet because something is troubling me personally).

Best of luck WDW travelers of summer '16!! I hope your hours get extended, and hope it happens soon!

It's not like the park is going to be closed. It's just not going to be open 15+ hours in one day (maybe.)

The problem is that this is apparently outrageous to some.

Look, the only thing for me to do at 1am around me is to go to a bar or the grocery store. Six flags sure isn't open then. I just don't think it's something that should be expected, regardless of the history.

I'm sure hours will end up getting extended and all of this is for nothing but we all need to get real - if 13 hours a day is not enough time for you, then the response is to prioritize what you want to do, like you would need to do if you went literally anywhere else. If you have to give up that sixth ride on SDMT I think your vacation will probably still be brilliant. It's just not worth stressing over at all.

As an aside I have to wonder how grumpy people who spend from 8am to 12 midnight in an amusement park must be after a week of that. It sounds exhausting.
