I NEVER saw EPCOT at night. How is it? I usually leave EPCOT early to get back to Magic Kingdom for night. (But i think in October MK closes at 7pm, so that stinks!)

Also, what is Fantasmic?? Do u stand to watch it? Do u eat there or wait to leave the park and eat later?

In my opinion, Epcot is at it's most beautiful at night. That's also when Illuminations shows, which is one of Disney's best night time offerings.

Fantasmic is MGM's night time entertainment, telling a story of Mickey battling Disney villians. It's a terrific show, worth seeing, and all your favorite characters will make their appearance at the end of the show. You sit in bleacher seats, and there is limited food available (snacks, really) inside the theater. If you want to have a meal, get something at Sunset Ranch, just outside the entry area for Fantasmic. You may take food in with you.

I've seen people bringing in trays of food to Fantasmic. Definitely not to be missed.

and Illuminations is one of my favorite fireworks show. Beautiful and breathtaking. Again, grab food and eat while waiting for the show.

I'm with Cleo.... Epcot at night is magical. It is our favorite thing in all of WDW. We usually leave other parks and head to Epcot. IMO the sitdown restaurants are some of the best on property and the ambiance can't be beat. Illuminations is a moving show.

Fantasmic is great also and a must see. We did the dinner pkg. one year and it was ok. This time we bought fruit from Anneheim Produce and carried it in, bought hot dogs and big pretzels inside the Fantasmic stadium and ate while we held our seats. We went in 70 min. prior to show time and had great center seats. The time went fast eating, chatting with all our nice neighbors, kids played with their gameboys.

I still love MK but Epcot has become my fav park.

Fantasmic is one of those shows that you just have to see. It's kind of hard to explain it completely.
I love Epcot at night, it's beautiful!
