I've read some posts about "Exchange II" or some people say "II", which I believe is used to exchange points for other resorts or hotels. What is this exchange II exactly and how does a DVC member use it? Is this done only through Member Services?

How do you get a listing of all the other resorts where you can use DVC points and how many points are needed to stay there?

Thanks for any feedback.

II is Interval International, a timeshare exchange company. One of the big 2 with RCI being the other. DVC works with II to provide regular timeshare exchanges for the owners.

These are full week (7 nights) exchanges to other timeshare resorts. You call MS and ask for availability at the resort(s)/destinations(s), check-in date(s) and unit size(s) that would interest you. If there is something available that you want, MS will tell you how many DVC points you'd need to give up in order for them to give II a comparable size/season DVC resort week on that specific trade at that particular time. It's always enough points to stay for a week in the same size DVC unit as you will be receiving.

There's a ($75?) fee to confirm. The list of II exchange resorts is taken from the larger complete list of resorts affiliated with II - but only those that DVC considers the better ones. DVC eligible exchanges are in the MS Directory for members and also on the DVC website in the Members Only section. Hope that helps.
