What is an AP voucher??

I've seen that mentioned in a few threads and just wondering what it is.

An AP voucher is what you get when you purchase the AP but haven't activated it to receive the credit card size AP.

It's officially called an "exchange certificate" (at least the last time I bought one, it's been awhile). You exchange it for the actual AP when you get to the park.
