What is AKL like at Christmas time?

Planning a quick 3 night December trip - I love the planning stages! Yesterday I was thinking Allstars & now i'm thinking AKL! Do they decorate much at Christmas?

The AKL is the ONLY WDW resort that has dropped my jaw at Christmas. It is simply stunning! If you're looking for that Currier and Ives, Victorian look, you won't find it here--try the BW instead. But for an exotic, incredible display like nothing you've ever seen, the AKL is THE place.

We just changed our Thanksgiving trip from CBR to AKL with hopes of seeing the decorations at this time. Decided CBR was more suited for out spring trip next year. Going to CR in a week but more excited about staying at AKL in Nov! WL was wonderful in Dec, so I imagine AKL will be too.

We stayed at AKL last December and the decorations are quite lovely. The trees are covered with natural dried flowers, gourd ornaments, natural toned bead ornaments, bird feathers etc. It is very subtle and natural. It does not scream Christmas - so if that's what your looking for, this will disappoint. It is very beautiful in a natural understated way.

Last year down at Boma, they had their "Gingerbread House" which was a miniature African village. Inside Boma they had a traditional mask made out of chocolate.
