What is a pincode and how do you get it???

I am confused...it seems like you all know something I don't. Please fill me in about these pincodes. Thanks!!

I received the before Xmas pin code by email a month ago. I had registered online to receive information from Disney, I also requested a video at DisneyWorld.com so somehow I got on a mailing.

I believe there's also a postcard mailing that goes out with pin codes too.

It's random how, when and who is selected.
