What is a fat pen?

Hi! I keep reading about needing to bring a "fat pen" for the characters to sign autograph books with. Is this like a Sharpie? What works best? Thanks! ;)

The character's hands are a little big (think the stuffed gloves) and it is easier for them to grasp onto a thicker pen instead of a regular one.

What about the pens for the picture mat? We bought 6 multi-colored mini-sharpie's. Will this work?

Yes, they will.

I would recommend regular Sharpies, multicolored....the mini Sharpies are well, mini.....it's true that the characters that wear gloves have a hard time with smaller pens....

No Sharpies - sharpies are permanent markers, so if the characters get them on their costumes, the costume is ruined.

They'll use them, but try and find a waterbased marker - not something that is going to make Mickey replace his gloves with every use.

The Sharpies are what you give to Guest Services along with your item to be signed. Fat isn't necessary in this case. ;) The Characters ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo need the fat ink pens.

Is there an alternative to a permanent marker that will remain "permanent" on fabric?.....wouldnt signatures used with something other than a sharpie type marker instantly fade?

Hi there :wave2:
Think of it this way, if you can wear a hockey glove and still sign a piece of paper with the pen you plan to bring ... it should work just fine. :thumbsup2

Cheers :joker:

If you are doing a pillowcase and dropping it off at guest services, bring a Sharpie (if you want to believe the characters sign these in costume, I won't spoil the pixie dust for you). ;) If you are handing an autograph book to a character, a ball point "fat" pen is best.

O.K., I think I've got it...."fat" ballpoint pens for the character autographs and permanent markers for the pillowcases. Do Sharpies work better for the pillowcases than fabric markers? :confused3
