What? I'm not cool anymore?

So I'm driving down the street, windows down, tapping my fingers and bobbing my head in that ever-so-cool way, my sunglasses on my face just so, music blaring . Just like in my younger days. But people are giving me kind of strange looks. I then realize, I am rockin' to...THE WIGGLES!

Any other parents out there know what I mean? How cool can you be while you're blasting "Fruit Salad, Yummy Yummy" out the car window.

My kids were not even with me.

I can relate!! I did that with the Theme to the little mermaid!! When I pulled up at my house my neighbor, who is a teacher, was on her front lawn and she wanted me to leave it on so she could sing it too!!

I love the Wiggles. And Fruit salad is a personal favorite along with Riding in my Big Red Car. Going got see them is August. We are all dressing like one of the Wiggles! Can't wait.

I was drving the other day and my windows are tinited in the back..so you cant see if there are any kids in there. Well, this guy in the next lane kept staring and pointing at me.

I was singing and doing the motions to Isty Bitsy Spider...and he thought I was by myself.

How about cranking up the Wiggles to counter the "little car with the booming stereo guy" that stops next to you at the next trafic light. I'm sure that heads will turn.

For me it is not the Wiggles but Veggietales...........they really have some very fun songs. Sad but true we are all parents and love to keep the kids occupied in the car.........the not so cool car.

My DH and I find myself jammin to the Wiggles as well. I'll be all by myself and I'll start humming a tune and all of a sudden I realize I'm singing "Shake your hips like Wags the Dog!" And then my DH comes home singing "Big Red Car!" Pathetic? NO! The Wiggles have really catchy tunes.... It would be hard not to like them. At least we're not singing Barney songs.

Personally, I try and go out of my way to be not cool and embarass my kids.

"Fruit Salad" (Wiggles) one of my favorites. Who hasn't had fantasies about Captain Feathersword...

"Oh where is my hairbrush" (VeggieTales) is sung frequently here too.

Right now my oldest is 10 (almost 11) and I love embarassing him. Like in the movie "Freaky Friday", I always yell out the door (when I'm dropping him off in front of school) "Make good choices!" as loud as I can. He just smiles.

I think you are cool! I will have Radio Disney on and "dance" to Wiggles songs whenever they come on.

Now my DH got pulled over for speeding one time. He told the officer (and this was true) that he had not realized he was speeding because we were singing "Wheels On The Bus" to our then 2 1/2 year old son. He got out of the ticket too! We could see the officer shaking his head and laughing while he went back to his car.
