The purpose of this Assignment is to get out and have fun using our cameras, maybe learning a few things along the way, so pictures should be new as often as possible (though if you have a relatively new picture that fits a category, you can use it). All cameras and skill levels are welcome.

This could be one that we run for the year. No prizes can be rewarded other than recognition for a job well done!

Where possible, please use pictures taken from December 2014 as the intent of this assignment is to get out and about. However, given that this is running from the start of 2014, if you do have a recent (2013'ish) picture already on file, by all means post it - especially if you would like to share your best pictures taken during 2013!
If you post a picture, please share what you did to take the picture irrespective of whether you shoot with a point and shoot or a dSLR or phone camera. For those with a dSLR, please include your ISO, aperture and shutter speed; as well as a brief description of anything that might help others learn from your experience.

What I'm Focussed On - FurBabies

I lost a beloved 18 year old furbaby earlier this year and the house has seemed pretty empty without her. We all took a vote this month and agreed it was time to make an addition to the family.
I know it's similar to photographing "animals"....but hey! I'm in the first flush of having a new furbaby in the family and as I'm the one posting this thread, I figure I'm allowed.

This assignment is all about 'FurBabies'. Cats, Dogs, Rabbits, Reptiles, Birds! If you're keeping one as part of the family, please tell us all about it.

Please share your shots!

Meet my early Christmas present! She's a Bengal kitten, with tiger stripes and leopard dots. I'm hoping that she will be that 'puppycat' that this breed is known to be.

It's been great having a little one in the home again.

    PIO, she's beautiful!

    wdwmom2 - what a pretty kitty!

Give me a few days to get used to my new camera and my two will make their appearance on this thread.

This is my toy poodle, Natalee, and my son's hamster Henry. Natalee doesn't look too sure about Henry! I adopted her from Petfinder 4 years ago. She is a great dog!

This is Puck. The youngest of my furbabies at 5. He's a handsome, but naughty, little fella.
