I think waiting is smart. DVC can be a a roller coaster of emotions .
So can these boards
Even though I don’t know you all IRL, I must admit I get very invested in your DVC dilemmas!!

Yes! It's awkward telling my husband about things taking place on the board without having names. So can these boards

In many places the dvc discount is better than the magic key so I always say im dvcI am buying direct for the Blue Card for the same reason (VDH). Maybe a little FOMO too, but mainly the unrestricted points for new resorts. On my last two trips I was surprised how many places rejected my Disney VISA discount when dining out, so on this last trip to Disneyland I tracked my expenses and saved around $50 in discounts not covered by the Disney VISA. May seem small but over time these extra Blue Card discounts will add up. I didn’t know how much I would enjoy the exclusive lounges too!![]()
Everyone knows my name..my age..even my faceYes! It's awkward telling my husband about things taking place on the board without having names.
I strongly agree!I still think Polynesian is a better deal, even though it costs more. Longer contract, more desirable location. If you wanted to sell for a blue card in Florida, I would look there.
I feel like it costs a lot more…50 per point adds up when it’s 200 points. I definitely don’t need Home advantage at Riviera.. I would just like the option to stay there and the others
Yes I will only stay in one bedroomsDo you like 1 bedrooms? If so, that is where having home resort advantage can play a nice role to grab RV over PV.
Those extra points add up…with studios, the difference is manageable if you have to take PV.
Your face is goneEveryone knows my name..my age..even my faceno secrets here!
Nice! I also love one bedroom but its abit more expensive in points compared to studio. Almost doubleYes I will only stay in one bedrooms

I watch resale values - just out of interest, as we've never purchased via resale - and the AK resales float around $98-102/pp, which is what we purchased it for in '08. Judging by the avatar picture of your account, I am guessing you purchased after '08 so it would seems like selling AK to purchase at direct at SSR would be a loosing economic decision. JMO.
I'm not sure the forum will allow me to answer this question so I send a DM.How much is it currently floating at per point for a 50 point contract? I have found some resources but now sure how accurate they are.

dvcforless.com has a wealth of information with regards to resale listings, historical sales figures, etc.
Here are two resources to see what prices are averaging-How much is it currently floating at per point for a 50 point contract? I have found some resources but now sure how accurate they are.
Yes, you need to use this to help find as many options as possible.dvcforless.com has a wealth of information with regards to resale listings, historical sales figures, etc.
It’s called haggling, you make an offer and people respond with a deal or another price.Saw that but is that the listed price per point or the sale price per point? For instance, I’m reading people talking about AKV at close to $100 per point and that’s showing AKV around $120 per point.
