What I wish I would have known BEFORE getting to WDW!

Ok this is prolly gonna sound really stupid, BUT I REALLY wish I would have known that WDW is anti Dr. Pepper! I know its horrible but Im addicted I admit it! So guess what next trip will have a case in my bag!

Great thread.

I haven't read all the pages yet, but can add a few:

Mousekeeping envelopes made up ahead of time.
Coins for laundry, etc...
Moleskin for blisters
Antibacterial hand gel

And everything else other people have mentioned!!

One warning with USPS vs UPS is that I read on another Dis thread that UPS is the only service who delivers to each resort individually and that USPS will only deliver to a general location at Disney taking extra time to get sorted so Disney can get it where it's going on property. I would think that would also make it a bigger chance that it could get lost or delivered to the wrong place and it would be harder to track and find if lost. I have not experience this first hand only read about it her on the Dis. I have however experienced postcards put in the mail box at the resort taking over three weeks to be delivered.

Great point. I didnt know this tidbit, however I always used UPS. I like that I can actually SEE it's there. KNOW it's been signed for.

And it's truly not much. My box was moderately heavy, and it was that expensive.

Onemore thing - if you truly want to be lazy.

My mom (who has since passed at the age of 55 in January of 2006... sorry I had to add that...makes me keep it real) ANYWAYS... my mom, myself and my 2 boys used to drive down....but one year I had bought a jeep! Now what?

We shipped all our clothes in 2 BIG butt boxes.... $30 each box. They brought those boxes to our room and everything, upon check in!

And on the way home, I ran over to one of those Mail Box places, right outside DtD...picked up 2 new boxes, packed 'em, and had the front desk pick them up and had them shipped out, via UPS from the front desk!

My mom goes - even if we ever fly, we should do this. It was so easy!

i was a cm in the mid 90s and we were always allowed drinks "onstage" if we worked outside, etc and kept them in a disney cup. i worked merchandise carts and had a huge disney cup full of water every shift.

I am the same way , I can easily drink 3-5 12 ounce Dr.Peppers in a day. Since I don't really like Coke, I end up drinking a bunch of water or Sprite. Also we take Kool Aid with us so we can mix it into the water bottles. The first thing I do when I land back in TX from a WDW trip, is get the biggest Dr. Pepper I can find. If we could only get them to serve Dr.Pepper at WDW .

I bought a stroller rain cover for our trip in Feb. Wouldn't have thought of this (unless I had seen it on the DIS) and could have used a poncho thrown over the stroller, but this provided more coverage and stayed put with the wind...especially since we stored our jackets and dry clothes in the stroller basket.

Also, someone here on the DIS suggested that you bring binder clips from home to secure a park map to the top of the stroller canopy...GENIUS!!!

I love the idea of clipping the map to the stroller!!!!
Also, somewhere else on the boards, someone suggested buying a cheap plastic picnic table cover and the pinch-type clothes pins to cover up a stroller with in case of rain. It could also double as an easy way to find your stroller!
My 2 cents worth:
If you plan to eat some food in your room, pack it in those small, plastic storage containers so that it doesn't get smushed.
If getting autographs, make sure to have more than one marker.
If you're a germ worrier and have kids, make sure to pack some of those disposable table covers that have the peel-n-stick backings to stick onto the tables (I also use these at home -for when we eat out- for my kids to play with mini-containers of Play-Doh!)

I'm sure I could think of more, but that's all my brain will allow for right now!

The clips for the stroller map is genius!!!! I read that before, but for some reason it didn't click - I'll definitely be using that idea on our next trip!!!

I can't remember the exact name (ours are in a Ziploc bag), but I found them in the baby/toddler section of Babies R Us. I'm pretty sure I found them (in the same section) of Targer/Meijer/Walmart too.

Since we haven't used ours for awhile I'll apologize if this info is wrong, but I think they were in a packet of 20 for around $8.
