What I wish I would have known BEFORE getting to WDW!

What we found worked wonders for autographs was a 3-ring binder with blank unlined paper. CM's in the gloves loved having extra room to sign. And those without gloves added extra embellishments to the pages. When we got home the pages were relocated to another binder with page protectors. We then printed the digital pictures we took and placed them on the opposite side of the page protectors. We also made sure to grab an extra map from each park to include in the memory binder.

Total cost less than $20 and it became it's own photo album of the trip.

is that all for free or do they charge you?

I used the first aid station 2 years back, I had a terrible sinus headache, I went looking for something to take at MK and couldn't find anything, I finally went into the First Aid Station and they gave me some sinus pills, all I had to do was sign my name for them, they even gave me extras. No charge.

The one thing I take down to WDW is pins for trading. I get them on e-bay a few months before the trips, to give my grandsons to trade. $2 a pin instead of park price of $6-up.

I've been taking my grandsons down one by one, so I don't take anything extra for them-because its their first time, I have to buy them a WDW raincoat, their first EARS, autograph book, and beach towel. But I do take my WDW raincoat everyear with me.

I think that they want their visitors to be happy. Sinus headaches make me miserable, and it is hard to concentrate let alone have fun.

Can anyone tell me what 'moleskin' is? I've seen it helps with blisters, and i was in awful pain last year due to my shoes getting really wet in the rain. Also do you know of anywhere that I could buy online as i'm in the Uk and have never heard of it?
:thanks:

Moleskin is like a bandaide with a thick soft padding. you can get it at anystore that sell Dr.Scolls products. Most pharmacies sells it. It save me at wdw with the terrible blisters I got. I have a suggestion. If you purchase some be sure to cut it in some strips to fit around your toes.

That's a great idea. Not that I EVER want to test it out, but do you think people will look in DDs pocket? :confused3 It's a great idea as long as someone finds it!

Works great. I do this too. When DD was 7 she and her friend got seperated from me. They went straight to a Disney employee, just as I had told them, told him they were lost and gave him the card. He escorted them to Lost Children and the attendant there called my cell phone. From the moment they realized they were lost to the time we were reunited it was less than 30 minutes.

I put a trash bag, for dirty laundry, in my large suitcase. Then I toss the bag with dirty laundry in it in the suitcase and wheel it to the laundry room.

Something new I am going to try this year: I buy alot of stuff on QVC. One of the items is a hanging, spinning stack of shelves with shoe holders on 3 sides and the shelves, themselves, on the 4th side. (This is a Lori Greiner creation) I'm thinking, even though I won't be taking that many pairs of shoes I can use the holders for other things to keep the room more organized.:)

Do not leave the rain ponchos in the room! No matter how sunny it looks, it can change QUICKLY! Also make sure they are easily excessible.

I think disposible wipes are the neatest invention! Now I will not leave home without them!;)

I agree! I like them way better than that sanitizer goo you squeeze out of a tube.

Is there some place to buy those individual packets of disposable wipes? (Like you get at KFC or BBQ restaurants). They would be handy to toss in the bad, and a lot less bulky than hauling around a big canister of them through the parks, or a baggie of wipes out of the tub they come in.

I know minimus sells them indivdiaully. http://www.minimus.biz/detail.aspx?ID=7765 Wonder if you could buy them at Sams/Costco? Never looked tho since I still have diaper aged child that requires me to bring wipes wherever I go...

Costco has big boxes of the moist towelettes. You can also buy slightly thicker ones that aren't in the individual packages from the health and beauty section of WalMart. Take a few out and stick them in a ziploc for the day.

I'm pretty sure I saw a box of individually wrapped towelettes at Target in the cleaning supplies department. We debated buying them and changed our minds, so I can't remember for sure if that's where they were.

These are expensive at the resorts - you can get Disney themed autograph books and pens at the local WalMart down there.

SAMS has them too - they are FANTASTIC. I keep them in my car door, purse, fanny pack - and one can do the hands of the entire family before a meal.
