What have you won?

I've won lots of tickets to shows, an Opus and Bill the Cat gift basket, a few 50/50 raffles, a $1000 grand prize from a band booster raffle, and yesterday I won 4 tickets to go historical Sauder Village next season. I keep hoping for that elusive trip to Disney :)

I won signed photos ( in frames) of Victor Newman and Jack Abbott from the Y and R - also a signed script from some of the cast and a few trinkets- mugs and key chains.

I was quite thrilled.:flower1:

- A goldfish in a colouring competition (although I think the pet store running the competition was the real winner there with all the money we spent on buying fish there after that!)
- A jar of jelly babies (I had to guess how many were in there)
- A $50 gift card to a major department store
- 2 tickets to see my favourite singer's cabaret show
- 2 tickets to another cabaret show (but they didn't tag me in the post and I didn't see it until afterwards - I was devastated!)

I've also been given a few tickets to shows that my mum or sister have won - another cabaret show with my mum, Les Mis (and an amazing afternoon tea) with my mum, Rock of Ages that my sister won but didn't want to see (the only time I've ever used fake ID was to pretend to be my younger sister to pick up those tickets!).

I won 3 cubic yards of poured cement which is actually a decent amount. I never got my act together and used it.

My boyfriend wins all kinds of stuff. Recently he won a Mustang GT along with a trip!

Various record albums from radio contests as a kid, a dinner for two from Lydo Chinese food (another radio contest as a kid).

Gift certificates from restaurants for Hallowe'en costumes (once for caveman, once for Gumby)
A photo album with a boxer dog on it
A printer
Space heater
$2500 in a lottery
Free tickets a la scratch and win
LOTR box set
IQ Massager/electro-shock machine
Free Tim Horton's donut (Canadians, guess what I did for that)
Portable USB charger (I think my favourite of all!)
Flannel snowman jammies (which I'm wearing tonight!)

A grill from a raffle at Lowe's
2 tickets to a concert
2 tickets to Busch Gardens Tampa
A dozen rugelach (Jewish pastry) from a restaurant

Nothing. On the other hand. DD21 is fairly lucky. She has won tickets to concerts, ball games, stuff like that. I am not lucky.

I won two tickets to Les Miserables when it was in Washington DC on its first national tour.

DH and I love to play the slots at the casino in Tampa, and I was playing 30 credits (60 cents) on a two-cent Quick Hit machine when I hit f0r $3,001. with six platinum quick hit symbols. I had just lowered my bet from 90 credits as I wasn't hitting and my money was going too fast! We gave each DD a "chunk of change," put most of the rest in the bank, and went back the next day to play again with what was left - after all, it was "found money." $3000 was considerably more than we took to play with, assuming we'd lose it. I thought, what the heck, I'll try that machine again. And what do you know - I hit again, this time for $2,400. Cashed out, rounded up DH and went home.

When I was a freshman in high school, I won a raffle for a beautiful handmade baby quilt. Kind of a strange prize for a 14 year old, but I loaned it to my older sister when she had my nieces, and used it myself when I had my own kids. Now it's in storage, waiting for my (hopeful) grandchildren:)

Some random things...but the big one was an Adventures by Disney tour of Norway 2 years ago for 2 people!

....the first thing I ever won was a 4-day trip [for two] to California to do a 'mini tour' with Cheap Trick [the band] back in 1980. I also won tickets for 4 to have dinner with some of the WWF (at the time) wrestlers and 5th row seats at Madison Square Garden, tickets for 4 for HersheyPark, 2 tickets from WCBS-FM for a Yankees game two years ago, a $25 Dunkin Donuts gift card, and this past December, I won 4 PH passes for WDW at a Tricky Tray event I attended!

Only 2 times have I won something memorable (and where the prize was worth more than I spent to get the prize). At my Dad's wake in 2001, there were scratch off ticket vending machines and a few of us got a ticket or two for fun. Well, there were a few winners amongst us (like $5 here, $10 there and maybe like $50).....
....I'm dying [no pun intended] to know, :scratchin where was the wake - in VEGAS? Was this vending machine in the funeral parlor??!?!?

When our local high school was first built, they had a fair to celebrate the opening. It was over 100 degrees out and miserable. We decided to go anyway. We won everything we put our name into because there was no one else there!~

We won a $100 gift card to an exclusive restaurant.
We won a full year of our local paper subscription.
We won a massage at a local place.
We won full dinner at a pizza joint.

I felt a bit guilty actually.

I have won some small bingo jackpots and scratch ticket prizes but my biggest wins have been:

50 inch TV at a social
$1000 on a Star Wars slot machine in Vegas (destroyed the death star)
and a trip for 2 to London England to see the Spice Girls, included airfare, hotel, tickets to Wicked, some food, tickets to the concert at the O2 and the radio host came with us and bought us drinks etc
